BCS Title: Florida 24, Oklahoma 14 (Final)

Post game thoughts:

Fuck Florida! Not UF, the entire state! (no offense, Ubet)

Fuck Oklahoma! Not the entire state, just the OU football team that chokes in every bowl game, but still gets fellated for making it to the games!

I want to see another replay of that first UF TD.

Bradford's two INTs were both tip drills, Tebow's two INTs were both terrible throws.

If unsportsmanlike conduct were called the same in SEC vs. OOC games as it was in the 05 OSU/UM game, the SEC would be 0-for-infinity. That's the reson I hate the SEC. Act like you've been there before. ("there" being any sort of civilized society)

UF is lucky they didn't play Texas. Team quality aside, Mack Brown coached a brilliant game against us, Stoops put his team in a position to lose in the 1st qtr (see 5 bowl losing streak).

Harvin's big run on the TD drive was the play of the game.

This was the worst football telecast in over 30 years. "Meeting Tim Tebow makes you a better person" "That's the first time Tim Tebow's ever done anything wrong" That's the closest thing to gay porn I've ever seen.

Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer should never be allowed on TV together.

Fuck Florida! (no offense, Ubet. Congratulations...jerk)

Yep. I hate his [censored]ing guts, but he's the best damn coach out there IMO.

Yeah..if I didn't like Tressel so much.

Agreed. He's an amazing player and by all accounts an even better person. I have no beef with him, just the unending knob slobbing from talking heads and game crews.

They do tend to cause problems in the likability (word?) of players. Probably would like TT if I met him...nah. Too late. He is like burn-in on the monitor screen, too late to erase and always there to remind you of himself.

You never know how things are going to turn out when 2 diff conferences meet up in a big game.

Or you can look at the B12 offenses have done in the past against OOC opponents. Had a debate with Numbers about UT and McCoy way back early in the season, and have debates with billmac and powerlifter about the legitimacy of the B12 at varies points over the season. Letdowns by high powered offenses in big games is as sure a thing as they come.

Even though the Bucks couldnt be in the title game, its always special to have two Ohio native coaches competing for the title. Even better that the winner (Meyer) was both a graduate and grad assistant at Ohio State!

Good win for the Gators, Morale victory for the Bucks!!!

What was the debate? I don't remember it.

McCoy looked good against us for the most part, hopefully my argument was for McCoy.

as a follow up to something I stated earlier...

Bradford was just asked about his throw at the end of the first half and he said:

paraphrase: "We thought we were going to get a different coverage and we didn't. I probably should have thrown it out of the back of the endzone."

That was an awful call by Kevin Wilson, and I believe QB Coach Josh Heupel (sp?).

I think they were loking for an underneath route that allowed a receiver to run into the end-zone vs. throwing for the end-zone.

It may have cost them the game in the end..

That was one helluva great post. I agree that The Longhorns would have taken Tebow "behind the shed" tonight. Watching Florida is damn near as bad as watching Professional Wrestling. If I had a vote, I'd go:
#1 Texas
#2 Florida ( because, you kinda have to)
#3 USC (Who would have beaten either of the above mentioned two).

I believe it was actually where you were scared of playing UT and said we wouldn't be able to hang with UT because McCoy is a totally different QB this season to which I responded by pointing out that McCoy's numbers have actually been pretty consistent since his FR year and that we would be able to contain UT's offense because we've already done it before with this defense.

Sorry.
