BCS Title: Florida 24, Oklahoma 14 (Final)

I believe it was actually where you were scared of playing UT and said we wouldn't be able to hang with UT because McCoy is a totally different QB this season to which I responded by pointing out that McCoy's numbers have actually been pretty consistent since his FR year and that we would be able to contain UT's offense because we've already done it before with this defense.

Sorry.

:shake:

The infamous "scared" argument.

McCoy did very well, and ended up winning the game for Texas. As you said, the reason I wasn't confident was because McCoy has been playing very well this season, and I haven't had much of a reason to believe our defense was going to stop a non-conference power.

So who was right? :tongue2:

anybody just listen to Corso gargle on Tebow's scrotum?

No, sorry I was too busy watching the rest of the ESPN crew back peddle on their 2005 statement that "Reggie Bush is the best college player EVER" so they could in confidence say "Tebow" is the best player ever.

Just got back from watching the game with some buds, read through the thread.

My thoughts-

5 straight BCS losses? 3 straight NC losses? Choklahoma has no merit to talk shit to OSU.
Harvin was the best player on the field.
Florida is pretty darn good. Good O. Good D. Great coach.
Tebow is a damn good player.
The commentating was "the single most idiotic" display I've heard. Simply awful.
---Made for some great laughs though.
Most other stuff was covered.

Finally, does anyone have a snapshot of the Oklahoma cheerleader at the end?

1. I sure hope that when we play the Sooners in a couple of years we get some refs who aren't afraid to call holding. Bradford's good, but he should never have had so much time, but when 72 and 73 had their hands full of white jersey he got what he needed.

2. Look for he rules committee to look into the Big 12 teams use of the hurry up. If they don't rule it out, look for every team to have a version.

3. Keep the coaches in the coaching box, get their ass off the field and while you're at it, take away the coaches ability to call time outs. This is a game that's suppossed to develope a student's ability to think in tight situations, what better way to learn than to be responsibe for your team's time outs.
