BCS Title: Florida 24, Oklahoma 14 (Final)

bottom line on EPSN "1st BSC Championship Game to be tied at any point in 4th qtr"

...uhhhh, am I retarded? I'm certain there was a BCS game about 6 years ago that went into OT...could be wrong, but perhaps one of our heralded statisticians can shed some light on the subject.

One of the great things about the 3D broadcast is that it was a different broadcast team. Believe it or not they actually talked about the game at hand, there were no side stories about Brady Quinn sisters or Tebow performing circumcisions. The shots they got were absolutely fantastic as well (heard Fox was getting crappy replay angles)

Gotta jump in here.

I had thtis conversation earlier. I could not explain why I had some disdain for Tebow...Tonight made it clear.

The media infatuation makes him completely unbearable! It is not him at all (mostly).

The fox broadcast was absolutely horrible!

the 2003 Fiesta Bowl wasn't tied in the 4th quarter.

Decided to drop in, see some of you still hate us .

Score was reasonably close to what I expected, but the game was surprising in a lot of other ways. Obviously the Big XII didn't play defense in the regular season, save Texas, but apparently Oklahoma remembered where they'd left their running defense during the long layoff. Or maybe our OC was more distracted by his impending head coaching job than I thought. At any rate, our offense was less impressive than I thought. The defense did the usual bang up job.

Some thoughts:
- The Sooners are the Buffalo Bills of college ball.
- What craptacular announcers. Ignoring the Tebow stuff, they lost track of downs, called a guy whose knee was destroyed 'questionable', and did a piss poor job of explaining how the defenses were reigning in the offenses.
- Oklahoma holds rather blatantly.
- Officiating was typical awful ACC officiating. I'd have rather had the Big East or Big 10 provide the refs.
- The synchronized way Oklahoma's players would look to the sideline and back reminded me of a flock of birds.
- There were some pretty good hits in this game
- If Urban Meyer leaves for Notre Dame, we're in good hands with Charlie Strong. If not, someone else is, hopefully not in the SEC.
- Major Wright is the Florida player whose performance most sticks out in my mind. Some of those hits were positively brutal.

Well, I have just printed my boarding pass, it is 3:37, I finished my last beer  and have run out of reading posts in this funny, enjoyable thread.

OU has my respect. a sloppy game, but I think each team caused a lot of the other's problems. Fortunately, I had no tv at the live game, so I did not have to listen to the idiot announcers.

Lots of drinking and sweating in this thing. With so many Gators beat up and getting injured, it was not a game I was comfortable with until the last minute. Tebow fest aside, he was 11-11 passing and ran for 49 yards in the 4th quarter of the BCSCG. That has my admiration as a great performance, Tebowner talking heads or not. I think that Black's pick won the game for us, and was the play of the game.

Winning one of those Crystal [censored]ers is so hard, and you have to be so good and so damn lucky rolled into one, that I am indeed fortunate to have watched Gator MNC's live three times in my lifetime. Most old Gators went their whole lives without a single SEC Championship. Good times now to be sure....that I might not see again before I croak.

And no offense taken for anything said in the thread, believe me.

I am a happy Gator. :cheers::beer::groove2:
