There is this thing that we didnt do so hot last year...half time adjustments. Our defense that statistically against the big ten and in state opponents is the best in the nation just got molested for the some of the first and all of the second quarter. For the love of Christ lets show the nation that we are not fakers racking up greats stats playing garbage opponents. I would rather not go to a bowl than get embarresed like we did last year.

LSU's first touchdown

I didn't want to start a new thread but my question was lost in the miriad of posts in the championship thread. I feel that this post deserves its own thread if only to clear up confusion on my end. thanks. mods....move if necessary.




On LSU's gimmee touchdown to the tight end, they had 4 players in a bunch to the right, a wide receiver left a yard off the line of scrimmage. the tight end was lined up at left tackle and caught the touchdown pass. I froze the dvr and only counted 11 guys. the tight end was definitely the left tackle. Can he catch the ball?

Serious, Our corners can cover your recievers thus allowing the Tigers to shut down the run. Wells is a beast! Did you guys think hester would be able to move the ball on your guys? Here is to a injury free 2nd half.

Robo needs to be the go to guy, not Hartline, no disrespect

As has been said a MILLION times on this board, Beanie runs infinitely better with a FB in front of him. What happend to Whaley and Johnson in the 2nd quater?

Two bullshit personal fouls have hurt this team but maybe we get a few calls in the second half. The mysterious personal foul on offense hurt tremendously.

As usual, we need more eleveation on our FG's.

God bless Aaron Pettrey as he's done his job perfectly twice far.

We need to play more man in the second. We got beat in man of the TD to Lafell, but at least we made them work hard for that throw. Zone coverage = methodical drives down the field.

LSU is running a perfect offense. Tons of misdirection and taking what is given to them. I'd like to say we need to be more aggressive, but LSU is just bringing something we didn't anticipate to the table. It will be interesting to see if we can adjsut in the second half, but chances are they take advantage of our adjustment to defend the TE in misdirection and utilize the vacant safety that has to now account for the TE against us. That first half couldn't have gone any better for LSU, even with our quick 10-0 start.

We can still win, but it'd be nice to get an LSU penalty and perhaps one or two breaks. This defense needs to come out and get us the ball back quick otherwise it might be channel clicking time.

We have Jenkins and Washington at corner, I think they can handle a little man-to-man.

I agree. We established the run and Beanie was toting the rock ok (even with LSU crowding the line). We need to go back to that (over and over) and suck them up even further then over the top.

This was apparent in the first part of their 24-0run but still we are not getting any help from the Zebras in this one!!

Here's to to an epic 2nd half comeback that leaves Buckeye Nation holding their heads high and tOSU holding the crystal football high when it's all said and done!!!!

Get back to basics, back to the run, Beanie get the ball moving. Our Defense spent way too much time on the field, we got two quick scores but it was so fast our defense got gassed. The defense needs to make some adjustments to make this happen, we are letting way too much happen on the run and our secondary is giving up too easy. I have faith in JT, we need to make some stops happen and not come out of it empty handed. Let's do this Bucks!
