BCS Chances (El Gigante Merge)

Notre Dame has the first At Large Bid. We are shooting for the second one.

On an interesting side note... I saw the BCS Bowl Series commercial and they repeatedly showed Texas, USC, and Notre Dame. So there is no doubt (as if there ever was) that Notre Dame got an At Large bid.

If FSU wins, both of the at-large bids will be automatic:

- The Bucks get in automatically for being top 4 in the BCS.
- Notre Dame will get in automatically under the "Utah rule" for being a non-BCS conference team in the top 6 in the BCS.

Enjoy the Holiday Bowl, Oregon.

So the BCS bowls look like this?

Rose: Texas-USC
Sugar: Georgia-West Virginia
Orange: Florida State-#2 BCS selection
Fiesta: #1 BCS selection-#3 BCS selection

Teams eligible to be selected: Notre Dame, Penn State, Ohio State

Is this correct?

had VaTech won today, I could possibly have seen the Orange making a deal and taking OSU-VT. I do not think OSU-FSU is nearly as good as PSU-FSU due to the coaches, and hopefully they will agree.

Bring on the domers!
