Battlestar Galactica- the TV show

Not entirely true that is the last episode until 08.

Sometime between now and then there will be a 2 hr Sci Fi Channel movie.
Using the magic of google, I found this.

http://trekweb.com/articles/2007/03/23/Ronald-D-Moores-Battlestar-Galactica-Gets.shtml

And fwiw, one of the hot rumors is 08 will be the last season.

Aside from the Bob Dylan goofiness (and while that is a great song made better by Hendrix) that was an awesome episode.

I mean we now have some serious cliffhangers.
-Can they hold the cylon off to get out
-Cylons have defected, what is the purpose of this 4 of the final 5? Especially Tigh.
-Is that really Starbuck? How did she get another Viper?

IMO, some top notch writing this season, and the actor playing Tigh deserves an emmy or whatever award is out there.

Looks like I am going to have to buy the season on DVD. Missed most of this season....:(

You have time.
Sundays at 10:00 pm is a little too late imo.
All I have to say is that the third episode of the season is probably the best hour of episodic television I have ever seen. (I say episodic because naturally the michigan game this year is the best television I have ever seen)

how certain are we that they are cylons? i thought it was pretty interesting that all 4 were persons who chose to live on new caprica and ended up under cylon rule for a while there. whose the 5th? kara and baltar still seem the obvious choices to me.

second question. why is kara so happy and wtf did she come from? nice to see where ever she was has nice shiney new vipers readily available. its clear there is something in the nebula. vipers can't jump so unless lee is imagining all this, something or someone brought her there. the thought that whatever it is caused the entire fleet to lose power... interesting. one would think the cylon ships will have the same problem once they get close enough. perhaps a ship with the ability to generate some form of emp pulse?

I've read mixed reports about the 4 being Cylons. Lets hope that the Cylon ships didn't cause the ships to lose power. Starbuck seems to be in the know so she might be with a third party that is more powerful that the Cylons. Maybe she went to 24th century Earth and has the Enterprise D at her back. The Cylons got nothing on a Quantum torpedo and shields. [/nerd]

I like this ending better than season 2. I just started watching DVDs of BSG last summer so I've only had to wait a few months for new episodes. This next break is going to suck.

I think their awakening as cylons is similar to Boomer. She didn't know, didn't believe it and even tried to kill herself. I think they are, and are not sure what to do about it. They are confused and will have to figure out their role.

The Kara thing, my swag is probably as good as yours. If you recall in the old series there is an episode where they encounter an angel type guy who tells them he will get them to earth. In that episode their vipers were suddenty white and glowing as were their uniforms. They have updated various elements from the old show. Why not this one?

Next year is a long time, but there will be that bridge movie.

Also next year will be longer. 22 episodes. So we have that going for us. Well that and football, etc....

Some of the questions that come to mind after the season finale....

Is the Tyrol-Cally child similar to Hera?

Who is the fifth cylon?

Why are they trying to make Baltar look like Jesus?

Is Tory pregnant? by who? Or was she just repulsed at the thought she was a cylon?

Is that really Starbuck? Or is she a ghost in Appollos head, especially now that he would seem to be single?

Some teaser stuff

-There are going to be webisodes of the cylon wars that will be on Sci Fi around the time Razor(the movie about Pegasus in November) comes out.

-The Webisodes will be on the Razor DVD (IIRC it will come out right after the movie is on Sci Fi.

-TV Guide describe Razor as 300 in space.

spoilers on next season--------

- Starbuck is back and is real. (no explanation of the why or how, but I am sure one is forthcoming)

- Robot style cylons have a chip impeding evolution. When it gets removed they will fire on a base star

- They might find earth a lot quicker than most expect

Will they hook up with Commander John Crichton and try to help protect Earth from the Go'Auld? And do you think they will support the Alliance or the Independents?
So long as the blue plant bitch dies in this version of Farscape too, I'm ok with that happening.

Battlestar Galactica: Revisited

From Battlestar Wiki, the free, open content Battlestar Galactica encyclopedia and episode guide

Battlestar Galactica: Revisited is a half-hour special on the Re-imagined Series that is slated for a March 28, 2008 release. It will air back-to-back with Battlestar Galactica: The Phenomenon starting at 10/9 central on the SciFi Channel [1].
The special will summarize the previous 3 seasons stories and character relationships for uninitiated viewers and be hosted by producers David Eick and Ron Moore [2].

It'll be a year between episodes, and I am ready to get this shit started again. I've been watching season 1 and getting caught up, while making My Girlfriend watch it for the first time. I have one more episode left in season 1, all of season 2, and season 3 DVD comes out on March 18.

Still 46 days from the season 4 premier and I am ready now.
