God I have seen so many I don't think I can remember them all.....
the last few that my wife and I saw were all in Austin, TX....
The Stones (not my choice I hate them, wife likes them)
Breaking Benjamin
those are the 2 that are standing out...
we have also seen....
Rusted Root
Kenney Chesney
Rascal Flatts
Staind
Aerosmith
Dave Matthews Band
Tantric
U2
Pearl Jam
Creed
Tim McGraw
Phish
Toad the Wet Sprocket
there are more but I can't think of them right now....
We appear to have pretty similar tastes...I would really like to see Rascal Flatts, McGraw and Chesney. Saw the Stones..great show (Steel Wheels tour..remember...their "last" tour....they sucked me in with that retirement crap...it was good but more about seeing a legendary band than me being a big fan).
I have been to so many concerts I can't possibly name them all...but some of my favorite shows were:
Pink Floyd...best show EVAH
Second fav: The Replacements at The Newport. They were a blast.
The rest of these are in no real order...just shows that stand out for me:
Springsteen...my first concert and we were in Germany at the time (I'm an Air Force brat)...Born in the USA tour...killer show
U2..I have seen then a few times...and I thought the Pop tour sucked arse..but I loved them the other times..
First time I saw The Highway Men...Johnny Cash, Willie, Waylon and Kristofferson...saw them two other times and they were not quite as good
Way up front for Mellencamp was great..I have also seen him a bunch of times but third row or so during the Rural Elecrification Tour was the best I ever saw him
Clapton...I am not a huge slowhand fan..but holy shit he can play and he had a GREAT band for the Journeyman tour.
Lyle Lovett...yeah...laugh it you must.but Lyle is a great songwriter and a hell of a performer. I think I have seen him 3 or 4 times now.
Violent Femmes while still a student at OSU...dude....talk about a crowd sing along.
Public Enemy at Newport..another band I have seen a couple of times but we were in the front row and it was a good time
Santana with Robert Cray before Cray kinda disappeared and Santana reinvented himself with those duets. Both were great...was really there to see Cray but Carlos and his band were crazy good...they tore it up.
Bands I really want to see but have always managed to miss them:
The Hold Steady
Pearl Jam
Beastie Boys
RATM
Jane's Addiction
and a night when GnR were 'on'...Axl is a dick but he can sing and on a good night those guys must have been great.
AC/DC
Kenny Chesney
