Do you need any extra equipment to get Netflix streaming through Uverse?
As already noted, you can use a pc/laptop or many of the newer blu-ray players add that functionality as well.

I bought 2 TVs in the last 6 months, and both of them have the capability to stream Netflix. The TVs actually have ethernet ports and just need to be connected to the network. Very easy network configuration. One's 46" and the other is 52". I'm generally impressed with the picture quality of both. It's pretty quite good even when I'm streaming shows on both sets at the same time. Some relatively minor pixelation.

You can also stream via game consoles including Xbox 360, PS3, and the Wii.

So a cable-ethernet connection is needed from the Gateway to the Blu-ray/Wii/Ethernet-TV, right? Or is it possible to do it wirelessly?

As Scooter mentioned, the Wii can easily connect wirelessly. As can the PS3 and any other wireless blu-ray players. My TVs would require a wireless bridge/adapter since they don't have wireless connectivity built in. As it is, I connect them with standard cat-5 cables.

I can only vouch for some limited wireless streaming that I did to my laptop for a few minutes the other day, and that worked well. I'm not sure how well that look on my larger TV screens. It looked fine on my laptop though.

Agree with everyone, I LOVE Uverse. Being able to record 4 shows at once and watch them in any room in the house is great. During football season I usually watch 4 games in each time slot (unless OSU is on) and stay caught up for the most part by using the 'forward 30 seconds' (or whatever the hell it is) button.

Only one heads up to worry about that I can think of... installation took like 4-6 hours for me. They wanted to rewire most of the cables in the house and then drilled in a new line from the outside (someone else would have to explain why they need to do this). Not sure if that is a normal time for installation though.

Add me as another satisfied U-Verser.

I get great picture quality, channel changing times are amazing (hard to watch on other people's TV now), good channel choices, On-Demand, good specials (I've gotten about 5 months of free HBO in less than a year's time), etc.

I did have some problems with it cutting out a lot, but that was a 3-4 day deal following a storm that must have messed up some stuff. Once they finally sent out a senior-technician, the problem was fixed. I get very good customer service every time I talk to them.

So far I like it. Only had it for about 10 minutes though.

NFL and NHL Networks ftw. Internet seems faster than TimeWarner. Installation dude was cool. And it was only fitting that the first thing I saw on was the 49ers beating the hell out of the Chargers on NFL Network. :banger:

I'm moving to Gahanna at the end of August with the girlfriend, and I'm starting to look at cable/internet companies. What is the price of Uverse compared to TW and WOW?
From what I can tell, if you want very high-end service you'll pay the least with WOW; TW and UVerse seem pretty competitive. Low-end service you'll need to do the comparison yourself, since each company has different bundles that may better suit your needs.

We have WOW phone (2 lines), digital cable (no HD or premium channels) and 8 Mbps Internet, and pay about $125/mo all in (one DVR; four total boxes).

The Uverse deal I got was within a couple bucks of TW. I want to say it's around $120 (we have internet multiple boxes, HD, U200 package with sports added).

What TVs did you buy? Will be looking at a new TV soon and this is a feature I have been looking for.

Just wish I could get U-Verse or anything with digital tv and high speed internet. Without paying $11 million dollars a month. Just outside of a local village......Techno is crippled there.:(
If I were in your shoes, I'd probably look to DSL for my internet and DirecTV for my television. Just one opinion.
