Archie Miller (Former HC Indiana Hoosiers)

i pull for tOSU I root for them evey game but I am not a'fanatic'(kool aid drinker) we are not good enough to win it all..and probably will lose to a more aggressive Va Commonwealth team. I am a Cubs fan too but at least Tosu basketball won a title in my lifetime..the Cubs and I are on borrowed timeLOL

I don't see how this is anything but a home run for Indiana. IU basketball will recruit itself, but now they have a guy at the helm that can coach too.

Crean was never ever going to get it done on the coaching side. He was smoke and mirrors having been built on a great Dwyane Wade run to the Final Four. He brought recruiting chops with his excitement (Mr. Clappy Hands), but he had no business at IU.

Archie is going to slay it and that pisses me off even more that the Buckeyes don't have that type of excitement this off-season. Imagine the Bucks announcing this hire? Ugh.

I'm not happy about that for Ohio State's sake.

Glad we held out for one more year of garbage because we used to be good.
Matta probably taught Archie everything that he knows. As much as I like Matta, I guess after further review we probably should have let him go and brought in a young up and comer. I am not worried about getting a coach because $3+ can probably land quite a few guys.

Maybe Matta will pull a shocker next season.

Well, sh*t.

Mack would be hard pressed to leave his alma mater, and how could you blame him at this point.

So who is that going to leave us with after Mack, er, Thad leaves........Bobby Hurley? If he's not swept up by somebody else.

Yep. They passed on landing a good coach because...just because.

Well done, Gene. Bravo.

My pitchfork is getting sharpened right now -- before I go get it back, is there any chance Archie would have passed on IU for OSU if they were both open?

I think the only one who really knows the answer is Archie. It's unlikely we'll ever see that scenario now.

I was under impression Archie was psyched to land at a big time Nike school based on his contacts through Sean at Arizona.

Archie also was very fond of Columbus....and his agent let it be known to NC State he would pass on the job in the event OSU came open. With all that said I'm very confident Archie would've been the next OSU coach had Thad stepped away...
