Posted - September 03 2007 : 06:30:57 AM I was reading the Maize & Blog yesterday and there was an initial posting that stated Henne, Hart, and several unidentified players were seen partying at the PIKE fraternity house on the eve before the Appalachian State game. The posting was taken down, but an explanation for it originally being there was put in its place. Check the new posting out.

http://www.maizeandblog.blogspot.com/

I am under the impression that the team stays at the University Inn the night before every home game. Is this a fact?

I find it hard to believe that players would be out partying the night before a game. As the game happened to turn out it would also be considered a contributing factor to the disaster if it were actually true.

WCBN is allegedly looking into the situation, but personally I think it is BS!

What has anyone else heard in regard to this "story"?

A pain filled GO BLUE!

I have no problem with them publishing the story- as long as they publish the names of the eyewitnesses.

I did a double take while driving around town Friday night when I saw a car with a "LONG 77" plate. It wasn't Jake driving but the first thing I thought was what's he doing out the night before a game

As far as I know it isn't Hart doing the posting, but the calls for a rematch with App. State have started. :slappy::slappy:

Also show we're affraid of meeting no team on the field.

Lastly, make us fans feel like we are capable of laying the 45 point pounding on them we were supposed to deliver this weekend.

The crowds around the TVs in the concourse beneath the South Stands got bigger and bigger. There were literally hundreds of people screaming wildly - it was a great scene and serves as a reminder of why the Ohio State - scUM rivalry is the greatest on Earth.

Hey, I was one of those hundreds under South Stands as well. My wife and I were walking around the east side of the stadium, but we heard cheering, and decided to duck back in and check out the game. We got in there just as App. State began their last drive...I think the cheering was louder under there than anytime during our own game. :)

NO WAY would M call a time out. even LLLLLoyd Carr isn't that stupid.

even IF the first down knee only takes 3 or 4 seconds, the clock STAYS RUNNING. UM would NOT call a timeout because there's a damn good chance that the clock would run out before they even got a chance for the third down spike. you keep forgetting that ASU didn't have any timeouts left. they couldn't stop and think about the best way to do it and leave no time on the clock. what they did know was that the clock was running at the snap, and would continue to run if they took a knee. the dumbest thing possible at that moment if you're ASU is put yourself in a race against the clock by taking foolish chances. the clock stopped at the first down, which afforded ASU the perfect opportunity to get the kick team out there without rushing the play.

Next time, take time to read the rest of my post before making yourself look as dumb as Carr. I clearly stated, quote: "If Michigan doesn't call a TO, then the clock continues to run and ASU can wait until about 3-4 seconds are left on the clock and then spike the ball...". The fact the Michigan was even in a position to win the game, solely because of the amount of time ASU left them on the game clock, proves my point beyond any reasonable--well, now I know why you replied--retort.

Are all Michigan fans this dumb? ChicaGoBlue blames the special teams for the "disaster" (translated to ass beating)???? What about the defense that game up 28 in 2 or 3 quarters?

And for the last post, yeah whoop their ass like you did that one....... Wait we've never beaten ASU! He would love nothing more to see Michigan whoop App State's ass, I would love nothing more than to see Appalachian State call Michigan their bitch one more time!

I would love to see scUM go to App. St. next year (even if they win). When is the last time a football powerhouse, make that Any D1 school has went to a D-1AA school for a game?

App should call out scUM then hold out for a homegame.

I wish ASU would call them out.

But next year I bet whoever is coaching will make sure the scUM players aren't out at frat partys and driving around town the night before.

So there was confirmation that Long's vehicle was out the night before and confirmation that people on the inside of scUM football organization are in "damage control" mode or cover up mode?

Is this what is out or their unofficial excuse?

Why is it that scUM special teams suck year after year and dumbass LLLLLoyd doesn't change anything. I remember "upset" wins by Oregon and Iowa in past years set up by punt blocks and punt returns and they still suck.

Also, why do voters continually vote scUM in teh top 10? Although it does make their eventual fall all the more hilarious...

You stop the clock in anticipation of ASU making the FG so that you have more time when you get the ball back.
if you don't stop the clock it runs out with you in the lead. you can find the post game pressers online. listen to or read what Coach Moore said about kicking on first.

Heeysus Fucking Chreesto, are you retarded or what? How many times do we have to explain to you how ASU could've stopped the clock without a TO and still have plenty of time to kick the FG from a better angle? I don't give shit about the reasons Jerry Moore said he kicked on first down...the only reason they won is because dipshit Shawn Crable doesn't know his blocking assignments. They didn't win that game because of the decision, but in spite of it. Had Crable done his job and Michigan makes the FG, Jerry Moore would trying to defend why he kicked a FG on first down with 30 seconds on the game clock.
