Anyone capable of discussing gas without politics? Anyone?

Bio-oil, while not the optimal solution environmentally, is a good compromise, and could buy us some time. I'd gladly pay high prices for bio-oil provided that it would create American jobs and decrease or eliminate dependence on foreign sources of fuel. Environmentally, it's not a step forward. Geopolitically though, it could be huge.

Re-stating the obvious -- this is no longer about supply and demand.
Its no longer about the number of refineries, or the volume of OPEC production.
This is about a captive audience (Joe Public) experiencing the pain created by the rapacious greed of folks speculating on oil.

Geez, I just thought we were all takin' it in the ass. But at least oil is a lubricant, so it doesn't hurt as much!
