2.53 here in North PA. Down by Harrisburg it went from 2.19 to 2.35 to 2.45 in one day.

2.70 in cincy as of last week. two things here:
A. gas prices WILL NOT go down ever regardless of supply and demand.
B. if gas hits 5 a gallon in the next 10 years this country will come to a screetching halt. companies will fold, mass unemployeement, people will die of starvation.

$2.79 a gallon here in west michigan. I did a u-turn in the middle of a 5 lane road to get back to the station that had it at $2.59 a gallon.

The least the gas companies could do is offer me a cigarette and promise to call me in the morning.

So I know that in the past the government would give some sort of a $$$ break for people who bought hybrid cars since they polluted the environment less but I heard through the grapevine that they might stop doing that and actually have hybrid drivers pay a $$$ penalty since they will be forking less towards the government's gas tax. Can anyone defend or refute this rumor I heard cause I'd like to know before I'm in the market to get a new car in a year or so.
