I'm pretty sure that Cook visited UT today...
I forgot about this as well, with all the talk of CFB and recruiting sometimes is easy to lose sight on these kids' real lives. Prayers are with him and his familySo you are saying he went from an OSU lean to a Maryland lean?
Edit: Missed the previous posts. I think OSU is definitely where Cook's head is at, just gotta make sure his heart follows. I think we have made some big strides there and when it comes to UFM and Coombs closing a recruit, suffice it to say I have faith here.
Second edit: Just remembered Anthony is from Houston, hope he and his family and friends are all ok.

I don' see it as a double edged sword, as Cook has expressed multiple times that he wants to play for a coach/team that can prepare him for the NFL. UT and Herman haven't sent any DBs to the league in a while that I can remember off hand.Double edge sword, right? He could come in and be an instant impact.

Unless he has a phenomenal year, doubt it. If I remember right, he has 3 years of eligibility left.I don' see it as a double edged sword, as Cook has expressed multiple times that he wants to play for a coach/team that can prepare him for the NFL. And he could also be an instant impact at OSU next year as well(as Sheffield, Ward, Webb and Smith will be gone) finding a way into the 2 deep year 1. That's if he's ready...

Yea, if the best they could do was pull even in the day after a visit while he's still riding the high, then I feel pretty good. As the visit settles those feelings tend to fade a little. That it took a "10 out of 10" visit for Texas to essentially pull even in this recruitment is probably still a good sign for Ohio State.
Hearing Tejas hit it out of the park w/ him on his recent visit. Will be a Battle Royale between Mentor and Student on this one. Surprised he even still lists that dumpster fire at LSU as an option.

Yeah well you do realize UT has 4 of the top 5 players in the state already verballed to the class right? The only one missing is Cook. And I didn't know the win-loss record of a first year coach was an absolute predictor for how a class shapes up.Um, Texas is 2-2 and about to go through a stretch where it's not unreasonable to think they'd lose all three games (vs. KSU, OK, and OK St.).
