I think swype is a good keyboard alternative, but I am way faster with a normal keyboard right now. To many times it predicts the wrong word and i have to go back and edit it. I also don't like when I am swypeing back to the right (when I am using my thumb on my right hand) and I can't see what keys I am going to and it ends up thinking I am typing the wrong words. I would probably like it if I could get some more practice with it.

Anyone have a good Golf GPS app they are using? Recently switched to the Incredible and the GolfLogix is killing the battery in no time.

sky droid is pretty good. It has every course I have played around Columbus. I played a 4 hr. round using it on the Droid X and still had over 50% battery left. I am not sure about the Inc battery though, I had it and the X's battery life is much better.

How Far Am I is a good free golf GPS app. Instant Buttons is one of my favorites, along with Wiimote Controller (connects remote via bluetooth to phone to play games and NESOID, PSX4DROID, etc.)

OK, I bought an android phone, and I have one question.

Any help for syncing with Microsoft Office 2010 (outlook, excel, word and onenote). Windows mobile won't recognize it, and the Garmin sync app won't recognize Outlook 2010.

Are there any apps that will create a portable database program that will sync with access?

Garminfone through tmobile. Yesterday was my first full day with it, and there's a lot of things that I like--full blown Garmin gps that works in either driving or pedestrian mode, good browser, easy and quick access to gmail and the built in flight status app is a godsend for me. One great feature is within the Garmin system where I can get a full list of local events for the day and hit one button and the gps will map out a route in either driving, pedestrian or public transit mode. It's GMS with Tmobile's excellent European coverage, which is important for me. Also, like with any other Garmin gps, I can purchase and download a full European map set.

There, however, is also a lot that has just left me with a wtf. The two top sins that I've discovered:

New Rule: don't call anything that doesn't sync with Microsoft Outlook (contacts, calendar and notes), Excel and Word a "smartphone." If it doesn't do the above, it's merely something for slutty Korean-American girls in too short skirts to walk around a bar with plastered to their ear as some lame form of status symbol.

No easy way to silence or vibrate the ringer without going through six steps.

I'm still not sure. I'll try it out for a few more days but have a hunch I'll end up with a blackberry or Windows based smart phone by week's end.

I use an app called Audiomanager Widget to easily change audio settings, although on my Samsung phone, silent is on the drop down menu.

The only thing I sync is my OSU email, but I am able to do that with the built in Anrdroid exchange.

This website lists a lot of options for outlook:

Syncdroid

I do not have experience with them, but it appears the following would sync Word and Excel files:

Sk Sync Free

Sugarsync Free up to 2 GB month, 30 GB- $4.99

The Missing Sync $39.95

Not sure if this is the right place, but I'm wondering if Google is going to do to Apple what MS did 20 years ago. I'm stuck on a BB so I haven't had a chance to use a Droid or iPhone, but I wonder if the hardware independence will help Google win.
We are starting to look at pads for our RSM's so this could end up being a huge battle when companies go Star Trek with their remote users.

Anyone know how to get flash on a Samsung Fascinate Galaxy S ???
I don't know, but wakeboarderdave knows the developers page that do a lot of modding.

Do you like the phone? Are you going to keep it?

It got a lot of tough reviews in contrast to the hardware, which isn't surprising given Samsung's lackluster history with smartphones.
