And Manningham out-produced Robiskie in The Game

Robiskie didn't drop a single pass...Stuper Mario dropped three, all of which were quite catchable. Maybe you forgot that we had a running back that carried the ball 39 times...we weren't exactly airing it out, especially in the second half.

I understand that Zook helped get the Illini to a winning record this year, but I have to admit that I'm surprised that Tressel doesn't get the nod as Coach of the Year. This was supposed to be rebuilding.

Anyway... I'll hold my homerisms for more important points.

I understand where your coming from, but Illinios was 3-9 last year and is 9-3 this year with an upset of a #1 team on the road. They are ranked and have the possibility to go to a bowl game after winning what 3 Big Ten games the previous 3 years? I think that he definitely deserves it over Tressel. Even with all we lost on offense, its not like we arent one of the top recruiting schools in the country, so we have the talent to plug in there. Not taking anything away from Tressel, but I'm sure if you asked him he would say Zook and there isnt even another option (besides maybe Bill Lynch at IU).

I'm still pretty sure 34 yards>21 yards

I would go with Hardy over either of the guys in question...

But the drops hurt more than the 34 yards helped. Robo was not a liability. On THAT day, Robo was better, because he did not hurt his team.

As for the whole season... whatever. Robo is just as undefeated against Michigan as are any of the Buckeyes, whether they were part of the travel squad or not. That's what matters.

I understand your point. I just think that JT deserves a considerable amount of acclaim for continued success. Staying at the top of the mountain is much different than climbing up it.

What's this "3 drops" nonsense? I rewatched that game and I saw at least 7 clean drops. I'm pretty sure I saw 8 but I'll play it safe and round down to 7. :wink2: They weren't due to poor passes and a lot of them, if not in fact all of them, weren't caused by the weather conditions.

Manningham had a better season that Robiskie. Why anyone here has a hard time acknowledging that is mind-numbing. Brian had a great season, but Mario's was better. Sure, he had slick fingers in the last game, but his total season performance will still greater than Brian's.

It's Ohio State vs. Michigan. We have a hard time admitting anything in Michigan might actually compare with anything in Ohio.

Both numbers are too small to say that one was better than the other. The important stats that you're not mentioning there are the important dropped passes, as others have said. I think that I can say (without bias, by the way!) that I'd rather have 21 yards and no drops over the course of a big game than 13 more yards and three drops.

Look at those LBs! Best trio of LBs in the country, easily.

I was also shocked to see Henne there.

Yeah, and StuporMario choked when it mattered the most, whilst Robo didn't...
