Two, actually. Using last week's rankings, they beat #17 LSU, who lost at home to Troy and lost by 30 to Mississippi State, and they beat #23 Mississippi State, who ended up 4-4 in the conference.

I solely want to get in because our resume is better than Alabama's and I want to keep them out. That ridiculous D2 in November crap in the SEC can take a serious hit if OSU gets in. Honestly, we have no shot against Clemson

They also scheduled Florida State - at the time they played FSU was ranked 3 in pre-season polls.
Everyone schedules crap games including the Buckeyes. Not everyone has the wisdom to schedule them the week before the season determining game. If any team has a real bitch to pitch, it has to be Stanford who had to play Cal, Notre Dame and USC in less than 3 weeks time while USC took a week off prior to the CCG.
