The irony here is that Bama hasn’t beaten anyone this year and has their worst team in half a decade...but our path is all but closed.

I really don't care that much right now. This is a good team that has some pretty obvious issues on defense (LBs, Safties), and some leftover ones on offense. They can play with anyone, but they can get whipped by a lot of good teams too. If they get into the playoffs, I'll be pretty happy, because it's always great to have a legit shot at the title. But if they can beat Wisky and get a top tier bowl win, I'll be pretty damn happy with 12-2.

Depends on which team shows up. The team that showed up against Penn State and Michigan State is playoff caliber. The team that showed up against Oklahoma and Iowa would get run out of the stadium. Have fun guessing which team shows up!

I'm with you. At this point I'd be fine with a NY6 bowl and beating up a PAC 12 team, the loser of the SEC championship, or ND again

Agreed. But I enjoy beating ND almost as much as continually beating ND, never gets old, IMO
I'd also be fine with playing Alabama if they don't get in. I'm getting sick of hearing that they pass the "eye test", but haven't played a team all year and got steamrolled by the first real team they played. I would enjoy seeing the DBs expose Hurts

Update this morning—538 still gives us a 60% chance if we beat Wisky. It’s hard to imagine the committee leaving a 1 loss Bama out, but if you look at their resume without the name, it’s pretty weak.
TCU winning the big12 is also a path of course.
