Last 5 years recruiting rankings heading into this year. 2022 was more of the same.
Anyone who thinks Bama is going down isn't paying attention.

I like how Script is like.....Bama is losing good players. Like that's ever been a problem.

Without Williams and Metchie in the game Bryce Young just looked average.
Former Alabama quarterback Jay Barker was jailed in Nashville after he was arrested in Tennessee on a felony charge for reportedly trying to hit his wife, singer Sara Evans, with a vehicle, according to jail records and news reports.
Barker, 49, was booked into the Davidson County Jail early Saturday morning.
Jail records, which are under his full name of Harry Jerome Barker, indicate his initial booking was at 4:10 a.m.
The records state Barker is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was released from the jail just before 7:30 p.m. after posting $10,000 bond.
He had to be held for 12 hours because the charge was domestic in nature and domestic charges require at least a 12-hour “cooling off” period.
Repeated efforts to reach Nashville and Davidson County law enforcement officials for comment have been unsuccessful.

The Tennessean, quoting documents on file with Metro Nashville General Sessions Court, said Barker tried to run over two people who were leaving a party around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.
As they pulled into the driveway of a nearby home, Barker allegedly reversed his vehicle “at a high rate of speed attempting to hit them, but missed,” according to the arrest affidavit.
The vehicle’s occupants contacted police after Barker drove away from the home, the affidavit states. Police made contact with Barker when he later drove by the house.
According to ABC33/40, quoting the same affidavit, Barker and the victim are married but separated and currently living separately. The report states there was probable cause to believe Barker did unlawfully attempt to strike the victim with a vehicle.
Publicists for Evans did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Barker, the quarterback for Alabama’s 1992 national title team, finished fifth in the Heisman voting in 1994.
After being drafted in the fifth round of the NFL draft, Barker never appeared in the league before playing professionally in Canada before finishing his career with the Birmingham Thunderbolts of the original XFL.
He went into radio in Birmingham, hosting the Opening Drive with Al Del Greco and Tony Kurre until February 2018.
Since then, he’s hosted The Jay Barker Show with Tide 100.9-FM as the flagship. The show includes writer Lars Anderson and former Alabama teammate Antonio Langham.
Barker’s son, Braxton Barker, was a walk-on quarterback for the Crimson Tide since 2018 before entering the transfer portal this week.
His daughter, Sarah, plays basketball at the University of Georgia, and son, Harrison, plays football at UAB.
Jay Barker and his first wife, Amy DiGiovanna, were on the field with their son during Senior Day ceremonies this November before the Arkansas game.
A court date is set for March 22.

Well, 3 of these very good players won't be back on the team in 2022:
I just can't see the 2 receiver's replacements being as good as Williams and Metchie though.
I hear you, but the messed up part is, it’s still Bama. And they can still get talent in the portal. Not to mention, all of the WRs are former 4 and 5stars
