Oh indeed they will.Something tells me they will be fine.
Agreed. This probably wont leave the message board that it was written onI’m sure Saban will keep it under wraps. No way ESPN will run a storyline of Saban losing the locker room. Probably been those attitudes for a few years too.
Maybe I'm giving Saban a little too much credit but a lot of that seems hard to believe. Saban seems like the kind of coach who would stamp out entitlement REAL quick. I also don't see him being held hostage by Najee Harris considering A) Jacobs is probably better than him and B) they have another stud in Trey Sanders coming in. Saban's always struck me as the kind of dude to tell players to either sit the fuck down or transfer if you don't like it. Who knows though, maybe his shtick is wearing a little old?Tifwiw. What this tells me is that they're too used to winning it all. They feel like it's their birthright to win the National Championship and they no longer have the same drive to actually do the work. Kids are choosing Alabama because they feel entitled to titles, but they don't realize it takes work no matter how much talent they bring. Now, I could be wrong about this, but it is very hard to keep that intensity when you're winning all the time... and playing the fucking Citadel.
But you'd think this mentality would've taken hold after Saban won his 2nd or 3rd natty yet Alabama has kept on winning, adjusting, and grinding people into dust on the way to another 3 titles. I just think they weren't as good as they were led to be believed. Alabama teams are many things but I've never really seen them play entitled. What this tells me is that they're too used to winning it all. I didn't say they necessarily played below their ability. Think of it like scUM... it's a lack of hunger. It's a sense that by getting to Alabama they've already won.But you'd think this mentality would've taken hold after Saban won his 2nd or 3rd natty yet Alabama has kept on winning, adjusting, and grinding people into dust on the way to another 3 titles. No I get what you're saying, I just don't agree with it. I don't really believe there was a sense of entitlement Monday night. I just think they got beat by a team much better than them.I didn't say they necessarily played below their ability. Think of it like scUM... it's a lack of hunger. And, when Bama lost to Utah in some BCS games because they "didn't want to be there" what is that other than feeling "entitled?"
Fair enough. I guess we'll see going forward. It's tough to keep the fire burning that long and that hot. It's why Saban gets so pissed off when the media talks about how great they are, in my IMO.No I get what you're saying, I just don't agree with it.
