I'm getting pop-up ads in the upper half of the page that auto play with sound. Very annoying.

Pop-ups? Or the top banner expands out and plays audio that when you roll over it? Also, I would need to know something about the ad (position, what's it advertising) if it's the former in order to do something about it.

If something is popping, expanding, or playing audio without any interaction from you, we can and will nuke it. If it's happening if you click or mouseover, I hate it but it's a reality of the situation.

I think I might start trying to figure out how to give donors and contributors (game previews, content, etc.) an ad-free experience. At the very least maybe that's something that can come with the pending upgrade, although I'd like to sort it out sooner.

I'm getting a couple ads with unprompted audio & video from the AdMonkey this morning. I believe the actual advertisement was for an outfit called "VideoJug" or something like that.

No inconvenience to me - just a heads up as I know you feel much more strongly about such things. :)

I want to say the left side. I have a screen cap, but both sides look like videos to me now, so I'm really not sure.

Does it expand without you mousing over it? The limited scope geotargeted ads are all but impossible to track down, but I can make some noise if it's behaving badly.

I don't think I moused over it.. pretty sure I didn't. but, you know it's not a big deal. If I were anywhere near NJ, it'd be more fun... but, my IP is.... so.. there you go.

I'd rather get the sword site.

I just got an Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield ad between posts in the tsun shenanigans thread. It opened up a huge calendar on the left of the screen starting at the top of the ad and going all the way to the bottom of my screen.

It was on it's own.

It played an animation of a woman sneezing at the calendar, causing the dates to fly off.
