As usual, not a big deal, totally not irritated by it - just looking to be a snitch.

Got an ad with unprompted audio from "audiencetv" on the left side of the admonkey's area.

They apparently think I want to visit Japan.

Just went through and nuked a few campaigns. Can't be certain, but I think that would have been one of them.

Thanks!

Pretty sure it has to do with the ads, but when I use IE (I know, but have to for certain sites I need for work) I get the MS Message that IE has stopped working and it shuts down the browser. I also use Firefox at home, and will not get the error, but the page will just stop loading altogether and I have to end task out of the application and restart it.

I have cleared my cache, cookies, authentication data, basically everything and it still happens.

Just a minor annoyance for me, no big deal, but thought you should know about it.

I haven't been able to reproduce this with stock IE9 on Win7 or IE10 on Win8. Anyone else?

Not doubting you at all, bux. Just need more info to try and figure out what could be causing it.

Strangely, I just got fed up with the same yesterday. I installed chrome.

Stock, out of the box IE 9 64-bit on MS Winblows 7 home premium 64 bit with 8Gb ram.

No problems with chrome at all. Happy to have made the switch. Glad I had an excuse.

I saw something yesterday that may have been causing it. Some ad rider company called voicefive had a script that was timing out. I went through and blocked it, but that MAY have been what was choking MSIE as it doesn't handle some things (like that) very gracefully).

I *hope* that means it's resolved for IE users. Sorry for the troubles.

Also yes, Chrome tends to handle most things very gracefully, and I find it to be quite a bit faster as well.

Whatever script you killed seemed to work. Haven't had any probs here at work today. Thanks.

I got a redbull ad with sound in the between posts ad position. As far as I could tell (it was short) there was no mute button.

Even with a mute button, if it played audio without any interaction from you (including a mouseover) then it's not something we permit.

Thanks for the heads up. Do you remember whether it was in the left or right position?

FYI - Roughly ever other visit to the BP Forums page, I get a full screen (black background) video ad. Easy close out, but relatively recent appearance. Definitely on iPad, not sure if it happens on my laptop or not.

I get this too. The video looks like a party scene - maybe a beer commercial, though I've not hit play to confirm. Refresh and it goes away.
