I havent been on as much today. But, I haven't had it today, so that's a good thing.

Then I will remain cautiously optimistic that the blocks worked.

Apologies to any who suffered this. Parasites abound, I wish I understood why there aren't severe penalties for companies that engage in this sort of practice. But hey, some want to be rich, and some of those don't care how they do it or who they hurt along the way.

Should they not be gone, I'll need someone to see which of the previously posted links triggers the redirection so I can light a fire at that network.

I just got it again...

http://adtrack.king.com/modules/adT...edd229&link=http://smarturl.it/candycrushsaga

That was the URL that loaded. I was going into the Steubenville thread and didn't see which advertisement was loaded before I got redirected. I don't really know how to tell you which of those links you had above caused it.

Just click on each one at a time. It will load as placements by themselves. Reload each a couple times, and let me know which (if any) triggers the redirect. I really have no other means to track this down beyond that at this point.

I haven't had the issue in the past couple of days. Oh, and I could not replicate the problem on the links you posted either. I tried them all multiple times the other day.

Thanks for trying. Glad you haven't suffered it lately, even if it seems it's still out there somewhere. I'll leave those links up in case it starts happening again. As I said above, I've exhausted other means of finding it.

I just got it again on the home page. I noticed that there are several redirects before finally landing at the addtrack.king URL. Unfortunately I didn't see what the first redirect was.

I'll keep trying to narrow it down for ya.
There's also the matter of erm, other types of websites infecting your computer, then resulting in redirects on innocent websites because your browser/PC is infected.

Not that any guy would ever peruse such places of the interwebs :paranoid:

This only happens on my phone. Which just happened again. I only caught the first redirect briefly, but it started with either "lionshead" or "lionsgate".

Chrome on my iPhone in the tsun 'cuse thread.

Redirect is below. Hope it helps.

adtrack.king.com/modules/adTracking/adClicked.jsp?type=ad&st1=hitfox&st2=candycrushsaga&st3=US&st4=&st5=aff_lsr&st6=102b20a993b1c325bd5a5867cfeca2&link=http://smarturl.it/candycrushsaga

Unfortunately I need to know the source, and that's the end of the redirect chain. Without knowing which position it's coming from, I'm sort of dead in the water.

What I am doing is reaching out to other sites that have it coming through their ads, and trying to figure out the source that way. It's widespread, and a lot of people are pissed off about it.

Oh, in no way am I pissed about it. In the grand scheme, pretty minor, eh? Just wanted to pass along what I could to help out.

When you say, the source, could you explain a little more? If its a URL before the redirect, I'll try clearing cookies and history which may make it easier to track down. Let me know whatever I can do to be helpful.

Thanks again for all you do.

Oh I meant there are a lot of admins out there who prohibit this sort of stuff in their ads (like us) who are pissed (like me) that some slime has snuck it in somewhere and deliberately made it very difficult to find and squash.

Based on what others here have said, it sounds like the redirect goes through a few steps. The very first one should give me a better ability to track down the source. So if it redirects or loads X before Y, and then after Y is that link you posted before -- then X is what I need.

The cleanest means to narrowing it down is seeing if it reproduces in any of the individual ad positions I posted earlier in the thread. The problem with that is frequency -- if it doesn't often load, then there's not a great chance it will happen while someone is looking for it there.

As usual, not a big deal, totally not irritated by it - just looking to be a snitch.

Got an ad with unprompted audio from "audiencetv" on the left side of the admonkey's area.

They apparently think I want to visit Japan.
