FLORIDA PREP STAR LYNCH SAYS OSU IS OFFICIALLY OUT OF THE RUNNING
By Lee Hudnell

CAPE CORAL, Fla. ? Island Coast (FL) star defensive end Aaron Lynch informed The Buckeye Times on Sunday that he has officially eliminated Ohio State from his list of potential collegiate choices.

"At this point Ohio State is no longer in the running," Lynch said.

The 6-foot-5, 255 pounder said that he is getting closer to a decision and has listed four schools who are still in the running for his services.

"The teams that have caught my interest are Florida State, Notre Dame, Clemson and Florida," Lynch said. "I'm looking to commit at the end of this month or the first week of next month."

So, does the talented pass rusher have a leader as of right now? "The leader at this point is Florida State," Lynch said.

Gators, Seminoles looking good for former Irish pledge Aaron Lynch

ESPNU 150 defensive end Aaron Lynch (Cape Coral, Fla./Island Coast) commented on his recent decommitment from Notre Dame and has two new leaders.

According to the News-Press, Lynch will choose between Florida and Florida State. Neither schools leads at the moment.

He may visit Seminoles Saturday for the North Carolina game and the Gators on Nov. 13th when they host South Carolina.

"He's told me a couple of times he had doubts about Notre Dame," Island Coast coach Joe Bowen said. "It's not one thing. It doesn't have anything to do with the games. I think he wants to stay closer to his friends down here."

"I wasn't really into (Notre Dame's) 3-4 defense," said Lynch. "I'm more of a 4-3 guy. I just really want to stay in Florida."

Miami-FL, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Ohio State, Tennessee, Iowa and Clemson are among his other scholarship offers.

What we know right now:
- The talented defensive end's mother told Irish Sports Daily that he is re-opening his recruitment will take a visit to Notre Dame this weekend. Lynch was committed to Notre Dame before flipping to Florida State.
- Lynch's mother has been quite vocal about her preference for Aaron to attend Notre Dame. I don't believe any report about him de-committing until Aaron, and not his mother, says it.
- Lynch has pulled his Facebook page down.
- Lynch is still set to enroll at Florida State on Monday. It is believed that he cannot early-enroll at Notre Dame (different academic standards) like he could at Florida State.
- I think Lynch turns 18 on February 8th, and am not sure what effect that has on him signing a LOI.
- As of Noon Friday, FSU should still be considered the leader for Lynch's services.

wow, ND is getting a lot of good recruits recently. Guess Brian Kelly is a great recruiter.

Hopefully other Big 10 teams can take a page from his book, as every other team besides us always seems to recruit poorly. Still, football is cyclical, so I look forward to the fall of the SEC one day, after its finally revealed that they paid all their players
