#8 tOSU 72, #9 Siena 74 (Final, 2OT)

Wow.. Sickening feeling. Closest to Carolina being eliminated by ARIZONA in the NFL.

Great game by the kids, and great game by Siena, but it's hard for me to give props. I hate losing more than absolutely anything. Siena is also celebrating like they won the whole damn tourney... and really I wish I was lucky enough to get the magical story "Shooter cold all game, hits both game tier and game winner". None of this actually happens of course, so I'm stuck in reality. Wow this sucks.

yeah, i know the Bucks are young but they've got 3 future first round picks on the roster. no excuse for losing to a team that might not crack the top 10 in the Big Ten.

In a one game setting, anything can and will happen. And tonight it did.

Experience matters. Siena had it. And it helped that Siena's trap was un-friggin-beatable.

Among NCAA teams, we have more work to do than most, I think. Our inability to play off the trap and rebound whatsoever were really disheartening given how fundamental those things are. And these youngsters have a lot to learn about picking their shots. We had a ton of chances and just blew this one.

I think the rebounding is the issue, with the size we have throughout the year, giving up the offensive boards that we do is not right. In watching during the year, there is no boxing out, or effort on the boards.

Siena stuck around, even coming back from an 11 point deficit, to get some calls their way, but a lot os sloppy basketball. It sucks to be done so quick.

Tonight was as a product of great recruiting and inexperience. It's the price you pay for super talent........growing pains will ensue. We will be back next year.

Sadly, I kind of expected this tonight. The two big threes for Siena were prettying telling of the whole year for OSU. They looked great for most of it, but then gave up stupid, big shots. Oh well, hats off to Siena.

When you advocate fouling a team before they get near the 3-point line when you're protecting a 3-point lead in the last few seconds, it's very disappointing to lose a game that should have been won in the first OT.

Great plays by PJ and BJ and the end of that OT went for naught.

Man, I couldn't disagree more. He may be our best player, but that doesn't mean he's ready for the Association.

Look at him - he's 6'7, he's strong and he can control the ball. Essentially with a year or two of seasoning he could a 20-10 guy in the NBA.

He's a lottery pick. And if he is a lottery pick, he's wasting himself in college a this point (athletically, let's not get into academics).....

We'll see on Sunday just how unbeatable this mid-major's basic defensive scheme really is--we just didn't have the ball-handling or decision-making to get past it, and I expect those will be focus areas this offseason.
