#8 tOSU 72, #9 Siena 74 (Final, 2OT)

Phantom calls, holy shit. Refs have to be sure about things when the game is so close, and means so much. I guess it's time to look forward to next year, stay BJ, stay Evan.

Football around the corner?

Too much turnover. Tough for the kids to become experienced when they only stick around for a year. Inexperience crushed us in this one

Tough situation for Matta. His biggest strength (recruiting) kills him during the tournament.

Well, what can you say. We just didn't play our game tonight. Like I said, with about 15 minutes left it was like we hit a wall and became lax. Not sure if that was weariness from a long Big Ten tourney or just youth and inexperience, but we just didn't play well enough to win tonight. Hopefully the key guys will decide to come back next season. If so, I think a Big Ten championship could be in the works.

Refs yes. But many blown opportunities. Well, it was a wild ride. If not for PJ, this team would have folded like a cheap suit a long time ago. The sure gave us some moments this year. Can't wait to see what they can do with Lighty back on the floor next season. :oh:

Big ups to PJ. He had a helluva season.

hey guys, sorry i missed all of the fun. obviously youve now seen that we do have our @ssholes as well. not to mention because of Siena's success over the years we also have some haters who would even stoop to the level of posing as a Siena fan. Soup, however is not one of those imposters. He is actually a knowledgeable poster when he isnt going over the edge... its a shame. You can see more from him and others on his own board at MAAC Hoops - Login. he seems to prefer an antagonistic approach and promotes others on his board to do the same.

enough on that.

there are those of us who can be both respectful of OSU and confident in a win. The vanderbilt reference i dont really see here. Some of your posters may look towards Louisville but not out of complete disrespect for the opponent before you (Siena). Vanderbilt fans last year felt like Siena shouldnt even be on the same court as them and it permiated the entire message board prior to the game. There was a distinct lack of respect for Siena and its program. I dont see a whole lot of that here. You'll have to forgive some of our fans and their "Napolean Complex"... we are the little guy and getting a shot at a big guy and in the NCAA tournament... obviously making the tournament and getting a 9 seed does deserve some form of respect for a school of Sienas size. But make no mistake about it... we all know we are the underdog here and recruiting, conference affiliation, historical resume, location of the game, player size, insitituion size and on and on we can go are all in OSUs favor. That is not meant to patronize you or your program ... it is what it is.

so as we approach fridays game lets do so out of respect for one another and an opportunity to face a challenging opponent that poses some interesting matchup problems for each team. Lets hope that this is the first round game that everyone talks about after the weekend!

Congrats on the win, guys! Best of luck Sunday against Louisville! (Except you, Soup.)

Choke job

Terrible all-around game, this team has some obvious work cut out for its offseason. :(

As Grad said, tip your hat.

But that said, only 1 team won't really have much to work on vis a vis their performance in the NCAAs. Every team will take something away (hopefully)....

While I'm at it - thanks for the effort PJ Hill. I'm not sure OHio State makes the tourney without you hustling all year long.

And thank you for your career here ET. Go to the NBA. You're ready. Get paid.

I hope Buford and Mullens come back, but I doubt it.
