Game Thread #7 tOSU 18, Purdue 26 (Oct 17, Noon ET, BTN)

I agree it was 3 posession game and no points there makes the game over at that point almost. My logic for this is:

- They have not moved the ball all day.. Was not confident they would get there again. They needed another touchdown at least. If they got one more td and another stop a long fg could win it. Either way I make that call based on what the game was showing. In my opinion that is a lower risk play then hoping we can move the ball like that again.

- Grad you are going to be right on the Wedge on that Squib kick there.... Miscall somewhere there.

- Jwins... I like the play calls before having to decide on 4th.. Ballard was wide open. Terrible throw by Pryor

The Troy Smith who couldn't handle the mighty SDSU defense in year 4 on campus?

They are very different players but also made fans pull their heads out early on.

Heads? Last I checked most normal people are only born with one. Except for some of those weirdo's from up north. I hope you meant hairs.:):)

Disagree. 3-possession game...too early to risk getting stuffed. Take the points there.

the problem isn't with the FG call. the problem is 1st and goal at the two, and you gain 0 yards in 3 plays. blame it on play calls. blame it on youth. blame it on execution. blame it on the stars not being lined up properly. blame it on whatever you want. but 0 yards when your QB is more than 2 yards tall is f-ing ridiculous. i don't care if you run 3 QB sneaks. but get the f-ing ball in the end zone.

ok, i'm going to turn off the computer now.

O no thats wrong, they shouldnt do that to a 19 year old kid, he played bad but just leave it at that

Yeah fuck ESPN... if any other QB on a top 10 team would have had a bad game like that it would be "oh it happens to everyone" "just wasn't on his game" etc. etc. but it's OSU so of course TP now sucks??? BS, I hate that carp... Be a little more patient with him, I hate how short-sighted people always are.... The SAME people calling for Beckman to be booted and TP to take the lead are now calling for TP to be benched but for who to replace him Bauserman???? Are you kidding me??? Sorry to break it to those with all the negativity but football players are mortal 19-20 year olds who make mistakes just like everyone else. Give him time to get in his game, the last two games we've seen 30% of his potential... Be happy the mistakes are out of the way now, as this young team will be good to go by next season especially if it can win out.

I hate the short-sightedness... "There go BCS hopes" hello???? Not if you go into Happy Valley and beat a top 12 PSU team, then come home to and beat an undefeated Iowa team that could be ranked as high as #5 or even #4 depending on what happens elsewhere, and then finish the season with a win at a solid TSUN team... By then everyone will have forgotten about the Purdue loss and the BCS will want big money bringing $$OSU$$ in a BCS bowl, probably the Rose with USC or Oregon...

LOTS of football left to be played... Go Bucks!

STOP BEING SO SHORT-SIGHTED!

they call that Tebow Time in florida

we need Terrelle Time in ohio lol. You seen how easy he walked in on that 2pt conversion. Thats what his speed is for.

Yeah that works when he's aggressive when he runs the ball, hence the really long run in the 4th quarter.

Talk about Jekyll and Hyde today.

to be fair

its kind of hard to expect wins over upper level defensive teams like Iowa and Penn State when the offense is pretty much non existent

For all of you keeping the faith.. i say, how firm thy friendship!

I'm hoping a good Blue Jacket game tonight will cleanse the pallet.

One day Terelle WILL see the light and we will be rewarded for all the football karma we are building now. Not sold on Sicilliano yet, but who knows?

I've got vomit to clean up now, later.
