#6 Arizona +3.5 vs #2 tOSU (ov/un 133.5) Thurs 7:45 TBS

If Craft/scott/Smith/Thompson are able to get to the rim on offense, that will free up DT and Q for their shots. I have the feeling Arizona's big guys are going to try to help off of their men - Ohio State HAS TO hit their shots.

Im feeling pretty good about this game, UA does have a size mismatch downlow, but he sucks to put it nice, he's like a white amir williams, stone hands and soft in the paint. Ashley has come around but Ravenel can push him around pretty easy

our perimeter D needs to play alot better then it did vs ISU, i credit that to tired legs a bit playing their 5th game in a week or so span, they dont have a true PG more of a few scoring guards who can handle the ball up court like Evan Turner in a way just not anywere as close to being as talented, Scott and Craft should have a field day forcing turnovers.

it all comes down to if we can play better perimter D and dont allow so many offensive rebounds, do those 2 and we win by 20 plus because Arizona's D isn't much better then ISU

plus I'd like to think UofA wont be hitting 29 footers with their eyes closed the way it seemed ISU was ....

Just wondering: The Arizona cheerleaders with the A reminds me of a 1973 "adult movie" with a storyline/plot: "A group of cheerleaders from the local high school decide to show their school spirit for their football team by sleeping with the opponents the night before the game so that they can be so worn out the opposition won't be able to play."

I'm sure that isn't the case here.:tongue2:

The Cheerleaders really was one of the better adult movies (of it's time).

I travel quite a bit back and forth from Arizona to the east coast for business trips that usually last two weeks. Maybe it's just me, but it seems much easier to adjust when you are gaining time (EST to PST) than when you are losing time (PST to EST) in a day. However, i'm not running up and down a basketball court while tring to adjust to the time changes either. Coming west, I usually adjust to the time in one day. Going east it takes 3-4 days for my body clock to adjust where I can fall asleep at a decent hour. Haven't tried the pickle juice yet ....

From the same article... pickle juice:)
Dave Egelhoff, director of basketball operations, said he and others consulted assistant coach Chris Jent, who played and coached in the NBA, and Columbus Blue Jackets trainers on how to best handle the time change and jet lag.

“All the advice we got was, ‘Land and keep them active,’ ” Egelhoff said.

“So our thing (Tuesday) was we went out to Santa Monica (by the ocean) and had them walking around and kept them out for 21/2 hours. If we had just sat at the hotel, they’d fall asleep, and then you’re not sleeping at night and it ruins today.”

Hydration also has been stressed.

“Sometimes when you fly, that tends to dehydrate people more, so we try to prehydrate,” athletic trainer Vince O’Brien said. “We made sure the guys had plenty of water and Gatorade 24 hours before we left; they’ve got a bunch of Gatorade in their bags they can drink in their rooms, and on the flight there was plenty of Gatorade. And when we landed, the hotel already had Powerades and water and all that stuff.”

Pickles also could be used in a pinch. Sunday, after forward Deshaun Thomas cramped during a victory over Iowa State, he ate three pickles from a jar supplied to each locker room in University of Dayton Arena.

I did see this interesting tidbit

"OSU hasn't played west of the central time zone in 9 years. Matt's hates traveling cross multiple time zones, ever since his Xavier team went to the NIT at Stanford.

OSU has consulted Blue jacket hokey team on how to best handle jet lag. Basically they took a 2.5 hour walk after the plane ride and a lot of gatoraid and...pickles? "

Pickle juice has a lot of electrolytes
