I wanted to wait until after the post game celebration died down to mention this, but yeah, Cleveland native Drew Carey in the crowd participating in an O-H-I-O chant after the game.

Although he is a relatively minor celebrity, it's still pretty cool to see him out there supporting the team and it is a much more genuine support than a lot of other celebrity fans I would imagine. After all, he was sitting right in the middle of the Ohio State fan section- not in a box seat or court side.

Also, given the distances involved, I thought Buckeye Nation had a pretty damn good showing in the arena last night. Arizona most likely had more fans there, but the Buckeyes had plenty of vocal support as well.

Yep, I loved hearing how loud it was when the Buckeyes were on a run.

Chairmen of the boards -- A big question heading into last night's game was how OSU and its small lineup would fare against an Arizona team that had a bevy of big men to throw at the Buckeyes.

"On film, (Arizona) didn't box out very well," Boals said. "They were 22-3 when they out-rebounded teams. We kept preaching that the number one key to the game was rebounding. We did a great job hitting the boards."

The Wildcats out-rebounded OSU by two in the first half, but the Buckeyes finished the game with a 32-30 edge on the board, which included 11 offensive rebounds. Smith and forward Sam Thompson led the team with eight rebounds each and Craft chipped in five.

Some thoughts from section 216:

First half was officiated outrageously in my IMO. Way too many fouls called on both sides. It got to the point where, if you wanted to play any form successful defense, they were blowing the whistle. Craft was visibly frustrated by this and the buckeyes suffered, given our style of defense. The crowd was unhappy in both corners.

At some point in the second half, the officials went from calling every single touch foul to not calling anything at all. It was bizarre to say the least, and it allowed us to get into a rhythm. Once that happened, the game was ours to lose.

Buckeye fans were definitely outnumbered by probably 2 to 1, but we were LOUD. It was awesome and it made me proud. It was a beautiful thing seeing so many Buckeyes in one spot so far from the motherland, and in SoCal no less.

Arizona was relentless and impressive and, aside from some douchy fans in my section, I have nothing bad to say about the Cats, other than your U-of-A chant is terrible, and always sounds like U-S-A.

Great game to be at for sure. ELITE EIGHT! Who woulda thought?! Bring it home boys!
