Already in the rundown on SportsCenter "Ohio State Investigation"

[censored]in espin

Why wouldn't they report it when local news isreporting it? Seems like many here are attacking the reporting. I don't get it, OSU is investigating. So it's news and should be reported.

I didn't think OSU had even admitted they were investigating yet. I thought reporters at the Dispatch had sources that said OSU was investigating. Am I wrong?

I agree. You would think that a media outlet with any decent resources at all would have more substantive facts before breaking a story like this though.

All fun and games when it happens to Auburn, when the guns are trained on us everyone gets defensive.

If any of this turns out to be true, then punishment should be handed out.

Usually where there is smoke, there is at least some fire.
I just can't see that pimping out some kid for $200k and getting a tattoo on the barter system are remotely comparable. Regardless of what the NCAA or the IRS have to say about the matter.

They also get discussed by Herbie and Brent during the Boise State v Utah game.

Exactly. Deety, it is not a rumor that there is a pending NCAA investigation that may very well impact this game. Delonte West sleeping with Lebron's mom is a rumor. I was commenting on a NEWS story that hit the airstream two weeks before a BCS bowl game. I understand the need to keep things organized here, but don't take yourself too seriously.

Reports: OSU players traded for tattoos

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State is investigating allegations that several football players traded autographs for tattoos, according to multiple reports.

WBNS-TV and The Columbus Dispatch, both citing unidentified sources, reported on their websites Wednesday night that the school was looking into the possible NCAA violations just two weeks before the Buckeyes face Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 4.

Quarterback Terrelle Pryor, not mentioned in either report, quickly responded on Twitter.

"I paid for my tattoos. GoBucks" he posted.

It's a bowl game. Not the national title game. Quickly investigate, sit whoever it is out for the sugar bowl, and move on.

In the grand scheme of things the non-national title game bowls are not a big deal.

Fuck that. I was talking all kinds of shit to a bunch of SEC pricks in a bar here in DC last weekend. I just elevated this game to must-win status.
