5 players suspended for 5 games in 2011 regular season (Appeal has been denied)

one has to wonder if these guys have ruined one of the greatest traditions of the football team/university. i cant imagine kids now actually receiving their gold pants as students. in fact, the reality is they probably blew it for every student athlete. i cannot see the university giving student athlete their rings during their time as s-a in the near future anytime soon. likely will from now on be held in trust until after they are no longer eligible, probably the biggest disappointment of all of this...

You are entitlled to your opinion, you are not entiled to your own set of facts. If you have proof, show it, if not, then STFU. No player on Arkansas' team is on a payroll.

No, you shut the fuck up. Don't come on to our board and disrespect me and the rest of my fellow bucknutters. If you want to troll do it somewhere else, were not coming onto your board and talking smack. Get the fuck outta here!

that would suck if true.

giving them a gift like the pants after The Game is a cool tradition, would hate to see something like that disappear.

If they still get their memorabilia at graduation or on exit to the pros, where is the harm?

I'm saying,, you have the makings of a clean and bright line solution - don't feed the beast, don't stop the awards themselves, just delay distribution.

it wouldnt just be that. it would likely be any such benies of all student athletes. might be a bright line solution. and is very pragmatic, but essentially a handful of guys ruined a decades of tradition(s) with championship rings, other trinkets etc.

1. Selling rings? BFD. They've all got at least three.
2. Selling a uni (Boom), and getting in trouble? Fuck off NCAA. It's ok for you, tOSU, and Nike to profit from it, but not the player that helped to make it valuable? Horseshit.
3. Selling your Gold Pants? I just can't imagine doing that. According to the HBO documentary on The Game, Bo never sold his. This is the biggest deal to me.

I just don't understand selling those. Kinda breaks my heart.
