I think it's laziness against an opponent that it's hard to get excited about. It's easier to go for the steal instead of moving your feet, shoot a long three instead of making the extra pass or to run to the other end of the court instead of banging the glass.

This is a byproduct of underestimating an opponent and unwillingness to play the same kind of game you would demand from yourself in a bigger game.
