#23 Ohio State vs #11 Rutgers, Wednesday, Dec 23, 4:30 PM, BTN

Ok, I watched the first half a 2 minutes of the 2nd. Down 15 or so I thought “this is going to be a rout”.

I was right!

Did you see that comeback?

Rutgers was +16 with Johnson on the court and -20 with Doucoure. Montez Mathis was -26!

on the other side, Jallow was +16 in 23 minutes and had 7 boards in that time.
Key was -10 in 8 minutes.
Towns grabbed 4 boards in 6 minutes.
Walker is definitely a important player, but 0-6 with 4 turnovers isn’t going to cut it.
Sueing was....not good.....0-3 in 15 minutes with 2 boards and a turnover. Ahrens didn’t add much either.

I would not wager a dime on OSU in a rematch if RU has a healthy Omoruyi and Jacob Young.

but I sure as shit won’t complain about this win!

Generally have no issues with Rutgers. I’ll take it as just a kid saying things after a loss.
(Plus he did get the short end of some calls but uh, welcome to everyone else in the Big Ten. It’s bad!)

Thinks the zebras are cashing out a bet for tonight. And is ready for the return game at The RAC (or Trapezoid of Doom or whatever they try to call it.)

Ohio State fans: " the Thad years aren't coming back, we are a football school, we have to settle for average". Ok so can we not expect to be better than Rutgers at least?

So if Rutgers can build a good team, what's our excuse?

Didn't age well.

See you the next time the Buckeyes have the audacity to be trailing in a game.

Gotta credit Holt for switching up the lineups until they got it working. Rutgers simply could not stop Kyle and EJ inside. In a complete 180 from the Matta era, OSU now wants to turn every game into a foul fest because they have a very deep bench and generally shoot FTs well, but struggle from 3. Jacob Young getting hurt was obviously big, but I think Rutgers was headed for a loss by that point regardless. Another great win for the Buckeyes!!

I find it hilarious that Rutgers has gone from being league doormat to getting butthurt over their first loss. Even Coach Pikiell got into the angst by picking up a T for complaining to the refs. This is especially ironic that they are so pissy after yet another Big Ten road loss, from a program that has seen those particular wins be few and far between. You always lose on the road in the B1G, don't act surprised or like it is some kind of calamity!
