#23 Ohio State @ Northwestern, Saturday, Dec 26, 2 PM EST, FS1

This is a fun (and sometimes frustrating) team to watch. Nine times out of ten EJ comes down with that last rebound and scores (or is fouled, or is fouled and scores, or some variation thereof). This looked like 2 teams who are capable of getting to the Sweet 16.
GO BUCKS!

Frustrating loss but I continue to see things in this team and the new players that I am encouraged by.

Same here, really disappointed to lose that one when we looked like we were pulling away in the second half. But I think there's a lot to like in this team and hats off to NW, they earned that win for sure. Hopefully Towns keeps coming on, he's definitely helping out. Monster games out of EJ and Young today too. Only real negative to me (other than the loss) is we had too many mental errors in the first half. The turnovers were bad but the foul by Washington at the end of the first half was just baffling...that play alone turned out to be the difference. With all the veterans on the team, we can't have that many mental errors.

Anyways, overall it wasn't a bad performance for us, just need to keep improving.

Washington got shoved in the back by #1 as he was going up for the shot in the last few seconds. Sneaky defensive play to shove a driver in the back, and the refs missed it.

Washington and Walker can't go 4-18 for this team anymore. Either the shooting must improve or the red light has to go on.

Towns only took 1 shot in the 2nd half.

Did Sueing get hurt? He only played 16 minutes.

Towns only played a couple minutes in the 2nd. Came in and almost immediately fouled a guy on a 3 and then was right back on the bench. He’s having a rough go on D — just can’t seem to keep up with his guy, whoever it may be.

I have absolutely no knowledge about his health, but I have a feeling Holtmann was going with his most productive players today and Sueing wasn't among them. There were some defensive lapses and when he went into traffic he wasn't strong with the ball. I think he's still adjusting to the B1G.

Trying to steel myself for a lot of games like this this year. B1G is straight murder.

Nice to see the way EJ and Young have been playing. Wish Sueing could figure his stuff out. Super encouraging to see how Towns has been able to play on O, too bad he is a massive liability on D.

I will say that I am ready for fresh blood at guard and thank goodness for the caliber of guards they have coming w/ Meechie, Malaki, Gayle, Thornton. But some patience is gonna be required.

For now, we are playing the guys we can play.

Not that it makes it hurt any less, but the bone-head, just-before-halftime foul was committed by Walker, not Washington.

Could have used a little more Ahrens in this game and I also wish Soto would take more shots...it seems like his shot is going to be good most times he puts on up...definitely wish his confidence would go up if it doesn't meechie may come right along and pass him up cause I promise you he ain't shy...
