You would almost think they should start trying to run out of the spread more to keep the defense honest. It seems like when they play the heavy packages, we all know that its a run, and when they're spread wide a pass. Idk, it just seems to me that the threat of JJ and Carnell would force a defense on their heels and then you should attack with the ground game until they're forced closer to the LOS. This is just my amateur observation, and maybe that happens as the season progresses

Tate is also a phenomenal blocker in his own right.

Is there anything getting called out regarding formation predictability? The lack of diversity in run scheme was awful in 2023 and it kind of seems like it’s an issue again..

Totally unacceptable. Right there, that's the answer to our run problems.

And we run 2-3 TEs all the time. If they aren’t going to block well then there’s not much need for that many TEs to play.

Said this many times but you can always just force a team to play light to cover the skill. For example, if we have 11 personnel then run the back 7 off instead of insisting on going heavy and moving people. Don’t have to move them if they’re chasing our skill around

Yeah you have to hope but then again we haven’t seen anything to Innis all year and we haven’t seen any of the other WRs. So if we are truly figuring things out I’d think we’d be doing some work spreading teams out.

OSU has a bit of an explosives problem. Partly play calling. Bert is gonna play a ton of 1-high that’s what he does. Sayin has shown he can rip that up and Day just doesn’t care. They’re gonna get their reps in running gap without numbers. It’s kinda sandbagging but also Sayin needs the reps? I dk.
