2025 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

Ped State has to play Oregon and OSU. I guess the thinking here is that the rest of their schedule is a cake walk and they'll get in even if they lose both of those games...

I got to algo logic inputs of "Ohio State has a resume building win over Texas already in the bank + plays Penn State at home" somehow = Penn State having better odds to make the playoff....and just stopped.

I didn't even make it to any kind of SOS inputs

So, 'splain this to me: despite Texas outgaining Ohio State in total yards (336-203)... while Arch Manning had 170 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception for Texas. the Longhorns gained significant yardage in the fourth quarter after Ohio State built a 14-0 lead.

I mean, we could see that Archie was not who they thought he was, but damn if that wasn't one hard ass, head banging game. How did they fall apart?

The reason why this game was close was because Day played the ultimate turtle game in Sayin's first start (and it worked). If they played again next week, with Jackson at running back, etc, the Bucks win by at least 20 imo.

This. It was a masterclass in how to bring a new starter along against a (at the time) tough opponent. He asked Sayin to do just enough to win without risking him having a bad game and suffering a season-fucking loss of confidence. This has really been some of the best foosball coaching I've witnessed.

Yeah, I get how Day coached. And the game revealed that Archie was an average passer, but Texas defense was tough and their running backs and receivers decent. I thought the bucks would see them again on the playoffs, but they looked like dog shit in gator land.
