Defense is peaking at just the right time. Saturday will be interesting as we witness schemes and strategies on both sides of the ball. I
agree that our LB's are playing at a high level right now.

At least 2-3 times where we literally have a hand on the QB but because they’re coming in too hot they over run the sack. Jack is especially the king of “ah damn almost” lol… dudes got like 10 of those this year. Too bad he’s not converting some of those because he could seriously have 8-10 sacks.

Wiscy had a play in the 4th quarter where they did a corner blitz and the guy came in at Dillon Gabriel untouched and slowed down and stayed in front of him, didn’t let Gabriel out and then the other rushers got there and everybody sacked him.

It was something I’d love to see from our pass rushers, instead of running at the QB full speed and then getting juked and lose contain.

Wiscy had a play in the 4th quarter where they did a corner blitz and the guy came in at Dillon Gabriel untouched and slowed down and stayed in front of him, didn’t let Gabriel out and then the other rushers got there and everybody sacked him.

It was something I’d love to see from our pass rushers, instead of running at the QB full speed and then getting junked and lose contain.

I was going to post this. That kid set the edge, and broke down perfectly so Gabriel had nowhere to go but back into the teeth of the defense.

Ohio State Needs Best From Denzel Burke, Davison Igbinosun and Jordan Hancock vs. Indiana​

The Best in America moniker Ohio State’s cornerback room tends to tote hasn’t been in full effect this season.

That’s not to say the corners have been all bad. In fact, they've mostly been good. Only five teams in the nation allow fewer passing yards per game than the Buckeyes, and their 6.1 yards allowed per pass attempt is good for 19th-best across the FBS.

But there’s a damned spot (for those who have read Shakespeare) upon the résumé of Ohio State’s pass defense, and especially its cornerbacks. The Buckeyes allowed Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel to throw for 341 yards and two touchdowns in Autzen Stadium in a 32-31 loss, the first top-five game OSU played this year.

Now Ohio State enters its third top-five contest of its 2024 campaign and will face the best passing attack it’s seen since the Ducks when No. 5 Indiana comes to the Shoe this Saturday. The Buckeyes need BIA to bring their A-game.

“We know we're going to get challenged out there, and that's just the way it is,” Day said. “Especially now and in this game, they're going to challenge us on the perimeter. That's just the way it works. So our guys got to learn from things that have gone on in the past and make those adjustments. ... The bottom line is, this coaching staff and all of us believe in those guys. We love their competitiveness. We love who they are. They're team players, and I’m excited to see their week of work and excited to see them play on Saturday.”

That play was beautifully executed. Heady play by they kid.

I'm glad I'm not taking crazy pills. I've been losing my mind seeing us over pursue and not break our feet down when it matters. Hell-bent blitzes with no discipline are killing us.

I think we're pretty much all worried if that doesn't change.

Boys need to go to another level now with the injury rash on the OL. I’ll put it bluntly, if we play like we did vs Oregon we aren’t getting to Indianapolis.

Specifically we need to heat up Roarke. From what I can tell it seems like Hicks has been really ramping up his time with the defensive ends lately in practice. I hope that can give us some juice.
