If it were that minor, the penalties would have begun back in September and Michigan would have held a “we apologize for the misdirected actions of our former coach. We have taken steps to prevent, blah, blah, blah. And now look forward to blah, blah, blah,” statement.

The university faces a Level 1 violation charge, according to the draft obtained by ESPN. It claims a "pattern of noncompliance within the football program." The NCAA describes a Level I violation as a "violation that seriously undermines or threatens the integrity of the NCAA Collegiate Model, including any violation that provides or is intended to provide a substantial or extensive recruiting, competitive or other advantage."

Also, don't underestimate Ono's pathological need to dig his heels in and never do anything to alienate himself from the foosball players. When he was at Cincy, I thought it was just some cynical ploy to build his personal popularity. Now, I believe that there really is something emotionally wrong with the man.

This! Regardless of the date of the article, I don't see scUM getting the punishment that pretty much only OSU fans want to see...
Hopefully I'm wrong, but I'm not losing much sleep over a scUM punishment. I just want OSU to beat the hell out of them yearly at the last Saturday in November. And would be doubly sweet to beat them sometimes twice in a row too

It seems odd to post really really really old/outdated information given what we've found out from 11W, Brohio, PD, etc and then use this kind of cop out.

And here I thought "Until they quit the fucking sport" was meant literally. Silly me.

Dude, it was 3 months ago, not 30 years ago. I haven't read too much about it. I hope I'm wrong. This is not encouraging. It's out of our hands. The only thing OSU can do it show no fucking mercy on November 30
