Good news is I think even if Day stays, he has finally reached the bottom.

I am a optimist when it comes to people finally going south to the point of epiphany. Day looked completely shell shocked at the end of the game. At this point he either taps out and bolts, or works through it and figure it out.

I'm not in Day's case, this is a man who's proven to be very stubborn in staying stuck in his ways.

If it was nothing, cunt would have leaked the NOA and accompanying evidence within a week of receiving it. Instead, it's radio silence, and they're doing everything legally possible to drag out the FOIA requests. If it was nothing and a slap on the wrist was coming, the negotiated settlement would have been announced within 30 days of the NOA dropping. Everything says it's both serious and the ncaa is having none of Ono's bullshit and isn't backing down on serious penalties.

Honestly, I kind of envy the resilience of the Scum fan base.

OSU gets a boo boo and everybody melts down.

Scum has half a dozen real issues still going on, that should keep their fan base up at night. Yet, they aren't collapsing. They instead have put themselves into a place of denial.

In the end, the rivalry games won't mean shit 10 years from now (probably way shorter) because of the transfer portal and the extended playoff. Teams will routinely have new skeletons every year. There will be no tradition buy ins. There will be so much parity, that what a fan recognizes will essentially be the NFL jr.

I predict we all look back and laugh about this later.

Probably because they just won a natty?

Usually not until 2 years removed from it that fan bases start chomping at the bit again.

They are going to end up like Texas A&M if they really are just throwing bags at everyone and seeing if they stick. Even then the surge is really just Underwood. If they get Haywood it's whatever, that's 2 guys who are only there for the bag and we know how that usually works out. The rest of the recruiting class is still pretty meh.

Their class looks like it will finish close to ours. Especially with Offord likely gone and them trending for Haywood and others.

Obviously just one year but still.
