The fucks down at the league office just gave Ono and Sherrone their cover to do absolutely nothing to Mullings. Can't say I'm shocked. Gotta keep them bowl eligible no matter what.

And of course the current crying on GoBlow is about how the B1G is "catering to Ryan Day" for reversing the targeting ruling on Reese    no favoritism being shown at all toward Michigan though! Zero balls by the league

I hope everyone didn't think something was going to happen as far as punishment:lol:
scUM is the B1G cash cow. That's great that Oregon is #1 and Ped St and OSU are #3 and #4, but none of them have won an NC recently. scUM is the current defending champions, and that speaks loud to the B1G office. It all comes down to money, and whether we like it or not, they still sit on the mountaintop. Whatever their record is, their still the defending champs, and the powers that be places more importance on that, than fans wanting scUM's feet held to the fire

In dollars, we outrank them. Our alumni and fanbase are the largest in the country and we spend and travel and watch.

Yep, they have absolutely nothing to lose, and a bunch of guys with no real NFL aspirations. Getting out with a win and no significant cheap shot injuries is all im hoping for vs them at this point.
It might be even worse if the ncaa hammer drops in the week or two before the game. You know they'll eat up the b.s. that Ryan Day and Ohio State has framed them and they're being terribly persecuted for nothing. As much as I'd love to see Ohio State absolutely gorilla rape them, I think Day will be right if he gets a good lead and then sits the starters to avoid cheap shot injuries.

As far as name recognition goes, at this point, the defending national champions trumps any fanbase or talk of alums. There's a reason why a team that anyone with eyes, and a semblance of a pulse on CFB is constantly televised, even though they may barely make a bowl game. Just like, even if the B1G gets some cojones and actually punishes them, the CFP committee will in no way take away their title.

I don't have a good feeling about getting a lead and sitting on it. Too many Tressel loses due to that strategy. And playing not to lose, would actually play into scUM' hands. They want a slow, plodding, ball control game. OSU doesn't have the OL(at least it hasn't been seen yet) to grind out games. They have to damn near blow out scUM, and make them retreat. Because if the game is going into mid way in the 4th, and OSU is only up a TD or less, I wouldn't feel confident

Yea i'm worried about this is well. This team has too many tendencies that really play right into scUMs hands. If Day comes out with the timid BS on offense its going to be a long sweat it out type game.

I'm talking about getting something like a 28 point lead midway through the third and then pulling starters. If we can't hold that, we don't deserve to win.
