Ending the week with 2 quick notes.
- Discussions continue between UM and the NCAA against all odds... some sort of negotiated resolution could still be in play. I wouldn't say its likely, but it appears to be well within the realm of possibility. There could be motivation here for UM to accept the know vs. risking the unknown; a seismic shift in their outlook since summer.

- The meatiest portion of my records request have now been delayed an additional 25 business days, along with costing a not-insignificant amount, "Due to the amount of time estimated to search for responsive email records and examine, copy, and review those records to separate exempt from nonexempt records within the scope of your request, production of responsive nonexempt records will result in unreasonably high costs, for which the University is permitted to require a fee."
Working a couple angles still, but this quiet period persists. For now.

"Reasonable" fees are 100% legal under just about every iteration of open records laws.
I've got a few hundred tied up here... nothing that's killing me.
Yep - talked to him last night briefly actually. Very interesting indeed....

I don't know this is posted already I haven't gone back yet too far, but when I saw this I thought Michigan fans will think it's cute even though he's a well poisoner but then I realized he's admitting to influencing games beyond what Michigan was involved in and the Tennessee poster may be correct after all.

this guy is full of shit. Sparty got BLOWN TF OUT in 2021. CJ had 6 TDs in the first freaking half.
What would they say if/when the NCAA takes the last 3 seasons from the cheaters?
then they will dog pile TCUN and gaslight the fans and act like they didn't carry the cheaters' water.

They unironically know Connor was more important to last 3 years than Harbaugh. They do not care. Live with it.
But do they? So many of their fans still believe that the cheating had little to do with them winning. They also believe that Harbaughs a god and that no one is more important to their success than him. All you have to do is read their message boards to see this. They have their heads buried so far in the sand that is comical.

Imo no matter what happens from the NCAA or how much proof you give them they will never believe it. Look at the political landscape, I believe it's going to be similar to that where even if you're lied to by your leaders you'll retreat to cynicism.

No matter how much evidence you show them they will still believe everyone else is doing it including Ohio State they just did it better.

They know. They're just choosing to willfully ignore it because - 1) it diminishes the only 3 seasons worth a dam they've had in a quarter century, and 2) they know that their world is about to come crumbling down around them because of it. If they don't talk about it, it ain't there.

This isn't just one or two guys or a faction of their fanbase, it's EVERYONE. They simply do not acknowledge it. Part of it I'm sure is because anytime one of them starts to turn self aware and brings it up, the MoE quickly zaps the offending post

Maybe some of the ones whose entire lives aren't wrapped up in being a tcun fan. For a lot of them, I really do believe that they are truly delusional and no amount of evidence will get them to process that it was because of the cheating. And of course, you have zero leadership and self-awareness coming out of the university administration, so there's no splash of reality coming from inside the building. No matter what the NCAA eventually releases, they'll say it was all a conspiracy to get Harbaugh and tsun, and they'll believe it.

Hell, we had some too. Tressel didn't lie to keep his players eligible; he was secretly working for the FBI. There was a perfectly reasonable explanation for why Urban scrubbed his cell phone. And I believe that they sincerely believed it with every fiber of their being. The foosball can be fun, but for some it can just melt their fucking brains.
