C) With the demise of newspapers we saw not only the end of real sports writers but also their fact checkers and editors.

D) Given tsun's relentless mania on maintaining their self-image of perfection and superiority, I would definitely be wary of them sending a tidal wave of lawyers until there's a time when the evidence is just so much out in the open as to give legal cover..

I haven't listened to the CS podcast but I've heard some on the statements he made/alleged. A poster on reddit had this insightful post:

My favorite part is when he says Ohio State never changed their main signal caller all year. Now how would you know that, Connor? Bc you can’t get enough footage from the tv to determine that, and the all-22 doesn’t show the sideline.

Another thing CS said was that tOSU had a signals guy who's very good. CS declined to name the guy but said he's constantly in Day's ear. I looked for some historical sideline shots of Day and he did seem to have the same "get back" coach constantly by him. I think it the guy I'm seeing is Corey Dennis but I'm not sure. And he's obviously no longer with the team, but is that who this guy is behind Day?
That is not Corey Dennis.
Its Quinn Tempel and he’s still with the program.

For the record, I don't like this as a defense. If it's provable that he gave us signs, I don't want to use this line.......it's what they're using. Golly gee.....I dunno how I had every single play they were going to run. Musta fallen in my lap.
In the end, Stalions is a pathological lying psychopath, and it never happened at all. The whole thing is laughable, and he keeps pushing out bs.

If you wish with all your might that something is true, it starts to seem true to you.
If you want your team to finally beat their rivals with some consistency , and become relevant on the national stage, and then win a championship... if you want it enough, you might just overlook a couple of things.
My coach played an ineligible player? Well, he just played on kick return team. The team shouldn't be punished for that.
My coach bought lunch for a recruit and his family? It's just lunch - everyone does it.
My coach knew it was dangerous to send a kid up in a scissorlift? Meh - he isn't an expert on scissorlifts.
My team is getting some unfair advantage by breaking rules? Well, I'm guessing everyone is doing it and we're just more honest about it and that's how we got caught.

Ending the week with 2 quick notes.
- Discussions continue between UM and the NCAA against all odds... some sort of negotiated resolution could still be in play. I wouldn't say its likely, but it appears to be well within the realm of possibility. There could be motivation here for UM to accept the know vs. risking the unknown; a seismic shift in their outlook since summer.

- The meatiest portion of my records request have now been delayed an additional 25 business days, along with costing a not-insignificant amount, "Due to the amount of time estimated to search for responsive email records and examine, copy, and review those records to separate exempt from nonexempt records within the scope of your request, production of responsive nonexempt records will result in unreasonably high costs, for which the University is permitted to require a fee."
Working a couple angles still, but this quiet period persists. For now.

"Reasonable" fees are 100% legal under just about every iteration of open records laws.
I've got a few hundred tied up here... nothing that's killing me.

NCAA better not cave and let them keep 2023, and I can't imagine that they would ever offer that up. Hell, it's the crowning achievement of Ono's life.
The way tCun stonewalled them, concealed, and farted in their face, if they let them keep '23, my fading level of "give a fuck" about CFB will pretty much flat line. If there are rules, and no real consequences for breaking them and being rewarded for it, explain to me how it's different from WWE rasslin'.

I just can't watch that fucking piece of shit. He's the tcun uberfan who went to Michigan State and talks academic smack against Ohio State. I don't know what kind of a sick priest ass raped him without the common courtesy of a reach-a-round, but damn he's one conflicted, twisted and emotionally fucked up individual.
he's great to watch when they suck. i agree 100% though.

There's no way that Ono ever gives up 2023. He's the world's most pathetic jock-sniffer, and he'll never alienate himself from his beloved Team 144. Secondly, his entire schtick going back to juggalo state has been to build his personality cult around being the football team's biggest fan. He voluntarily gives up 2023, and all that goes away. The NCAA is going to need to find the courage to stand firm and take 2023 away from them. They'll wreck the program for a decade before Ono takes the popularity hit of giving 2023 up on his own.
