Just a point that is something everybody seems to skip over: other than the suspensions the players got, OSU didn't get hammered because of what the players did. The NCAA considered the matter closed after issuing those suspensions in Dec 2010. OSU got hit when it was discovered the following Spring that Tressel knew about what the players did BEFORE the start of the 2010 season, then didn't say anything and then lied to the school and the NCAA about that knowledge.
