Michigan is the guy on the block who portrays himself as a successful, pillar of the community. Only his two next door neighbors (The Buckeyes and The Spartans) know the real truth about him...that he cooks up meth in the basement and beats his wife and kids, but nobody will believe them. Well, now the rest of the neighborhood is out on their lawns as the FBI, DEA and local cops and children's services are swarming the house.

So they offered the job to a guy who they knew was in the center of the cheating scandal with the sole intention of offering him up as the sacrificial lamb to appease the NCAA......and the NCAA told them to go pound sand. It's like my 9 yo telling me he won't eat his vegetables at dinner to make up for not cleaning up his room like he was told.
If he gets a lengthy suspension, do you think he gets paid? Doubtful. Or he had a contingency understanding. My thought is that Moore was gambling on something manageable from the NCAA.
