*2024 tCun Shenanigans, Arguments, Cobras, Feckless Marmots, Fake Pandas, Dirty Cheaters

Minimum framework for me:
Vacating all wins/championships from 2021-23 (ALL of them)
2 year postseason ban (would prefer 3 to match the number of seasons they fabricated)
Heavy show causes for any coaches involved, including Cryin' Sherrone Moore
Sherrone Moore penalized so heavily tsun has no choice but to fire his ass into outer space
Lifetime ban from CFB for Cheatin' Jim Harbaugh (I'd love to see the NFL take some action, too, but I'm not holding my breath)
Hefty suspensions (can't land on a number right now) for any coaches currently on staff with involvement

That's a MINIMUM for me. Anything less is a sham. The NCAA needs to FLEX here to deter any other "rouge" programs from trying to emulate what these cheating bastards pulled off. Do I think they'll go to the lengths they should? Nah.

I'd also like to see scholarship reductions, strict probationary terms, and fines.
I can't find a fault in your ideas. But I'd say that scholarship reductions may not do much in this era of NIL. What is going to hurt is the post-season ban. Who would go to a team that has no chance to get into the playoffs? Little brother has a chance. Wisconsin has a chance. Even Indiana has a chance. (Just kidding - Indiana doesn't have a chance.)

I'd add a pretty big penalty to CMU coaching staff. If I'm Pettiti (or however you spell his name), I'm giving the HC of CMU a lifetime ban from playing any Big Ten team. In fact, any school that hires the CMU coach is banned from playing Big Ten teams in any sport. If you want to play MSU again, get him off your payroll completely.

If Michigan doesn't get the death penalty, then I want the NCAA to immediately officially remove it from their official bylaws. I want them to do that as a direct acknowledgement that if the Flatulating Dipcunts don't get it for this, then NO ONE WILL EVER DO ANYTHING WORSE to the integrity of the game, so we should just eliminate it as a penalty option if no one is ever going to get it again.

No joke. There’s a part of me that, all things considered, is more ok with what they did in conference than what they did out of conference. I can’t really put my finger on why it bothers me more other than keeping our own dirty laundry in our own conference… Again, I struggle to explain it.
I'm with you. Cheating to directly impact the game you're in.....that's one thing (which should get the hammer dropped). Cheating by reaching out to other teams in other conferences to impact games you're not even playing in for the sole purpose of making your path to the playoffs easier? Get all the way fucked forever.

Love that idea. For a MAC school to lose their payday games against B1G schools, they might as well fold up their entire athletic department.

Tressel didn't get the axe for the improper benefits.......he got it for knowing about it and lying to the NCAA.
I think this might be the next big thing to drop. That TCUN knew of this ahead of the season and did not notify anyone or do anything to stop it.

Again, it’s why I screamed on here (probably annoyingly) that they needed to have their season ended last October. There whole thing was to buy time to complete the 2023 season. That’s all they wanted because they knew this was their best team maybe ever. They couldn’t live knowing they almost pulled it off. Thats why they dropped everything in terms of the appeal with Harbaugh. Because they had assurances they’d be left alone the rest of the way.

They were able to pull it off and I think what really sucks is maybe the only team that could’ve beat them was upset by Alabama. I think Georgia would’ve been a much tougher matchup in the finale.

This is exactly it. They had knowledge of the cheating and allowed it to continue. WHILE ALREADY UNDER NCAA INVESTIGATION. They, at an absolute bare minimum should have told the coaches to shut down the sign stealing operation NOW. But nope. They decided they were just gonna try to race to the finish line before it was exposed. Zero integrity. They are, by any definition, the most corrupt program we've seen since the heydays of dirty/rogue CFB programs in the 1980's.

Death penalty? Is it warranted? I'd say given the size and scope of the operation, and the inaction of the school administration...if ever it was warranted, this, along with the ped aggy saga in 2011/12 are the cases for it. Unfortunately, the NCAA has said it is not something they will ever do again. However, they need to exact vengeance at a level that leaves their program crippled for years to come.
Let’s be real. The death penalty should be synonymous with TCUN football. They should get worse punishment than what SMU got. What they did is far worse than paying a few players. Far worse… they won’t get it but they absolutely should.

I think what’s about to happen to them will be the new definition of the death penalty.

I don't think shutting them down last season was ever a realistic option...to much lost revenue. However, you can bet your ass that both the B1G and the NCAA are plenty salty about the position it put them in and not being able to do it and that has played a role in the level of vigor they're pursuing this.

Maddening.

Last year it was “we need due process let this play out” and now it’ll be “well you can’t punish the kids. These kids weren’t even involved”.

Basically they’ll claim well everyone involved is now gone so how can you do this to us.

Well someone has to pay you ignorant fucks. That’s why they’re charging the university with a lvl 1 too.

Also, bare in mind, the whole bit about them possessing stolen tOSU practice videos is NOT a part of this current investigation/NOA as it's part of an open and active FBI investigation. Even after all of this, there will still be more in the pipeline. The depths of their cheating knows no bounds.

Once all this is done, if the practice footage shit is confirmed to be true, they should crippled their program for the whole next decade at least. Like 8-10 total years of postseason bans is basically a death penalty in this day and age.

Agree. This scandal far exceeds anything we've ever seen. As to the penalties, they should absolutely set a new precedent as there is no precedent to the depths of their violations. Will we see it? I'm optimistic that the hammer is absolutely going to fall on them at a level we've never seen, but I'm not sold 100% given the NCAAs track record. We can only speculate and hope justice is served.
