2024 Fall Camp and Other Tidbits

Not looking for a Bosa performance but just a player that affects the QB. Would be nice to see him push Jack for team sack lead.
JT led by 1/2 a sack going into the Cotton Bowl. It was Jack's 3-sack performance in that game that made him the leader for 2023.

And Jack was held without a sack in ten games last year; JT in only 9

It was Jack getting 5 of his 6.5 sacks in the last 3 games of the year that everyone remembers. Before that run, JT led the team with 4 sacks to 1.5 for Jack.

What the Buckeyes really need is for Jack to keep up the production he showed at the end of last year. As the last two were arguably against the two best offensive lines that he faced all year, that seems conceivable. If JT can likewise find another gear... Look TF Out

Funny how I only remember that Jack lead the team. Great points here.

I suppose hopefully both find another gear more consistently. I think with a more aggressive blitz scheme that should free up a bunch of people.

As the DB have gotten better so do the sack totals. I'm not arguing that Bosas/Young wouldn't have had more in the last two years, but the DB during that period didn't help the DL.

Agreed, there was never any reasonable expectation that TSC would come in and start as a freshman. He'll likely compete with Noland for QB2 and whichever of them wins, outright or by default if the other transfers, will be next up after Sayin's done a couple of years as the starter.

Depending on how TSC development goes, it could play out a lot like KSU did with Howard & Avery Johnson.

lol TSC is not starting immediately unless Sayin leaves or something. Sayin is QB1 next year and it isn’t going to be a particularly close battle.
I'm about the biggest TSC fan out there, but I tend to agree. He deserves to be the #1 overall recruit imo, but he will need development to get game ready and he's well aware of it. He'll battle it out, but Sayin after a year in our system is going to be tough to beat out by anyone once Howard departs. He really might be the best QB on our roster and I think very highly of Howard and the rest of the group.
