On Sunday I posted that Texas was in even if they lose to aTm. Not so fast, myself.
If all of this happens:
Oregon and tOSU win and play in the B1G CCG. Winner is the #1 seed, conference runner-up is the #5 seed In the bracket.
Penn State (Md), Indiana (Purdue), ND (USC), and Tennessee (Vandy) all win and don’t play a CCG.
Clemson beats USCe, Miami beats Syracuse and SMU beats Cal. Miami/SMU play a close CCG.
aTm bests UGA in the CCG. 5th Conference Champion is either from B1G or Tulane, that won‘t affect Texas.
01 - B1G winner
02 - SMU/Miami winner or aTm
03 - SMU/Miami winner or aTm
04 - Boise St
05 - B1G runner-up
06 - ND or Penn St
07 - ND or Penn St
08 - Tennessee
09 - Georgia, with 3rd loss in CCG
10 - Indiana, with 1 loss to a Top-2 team
11 - Clemson or Texas in a 2-loss beauty contest, Texas with 0 wins over ranked teams, and Clemson just beat #15 USCe
12 - by rule, Big XII Champ whoever or AAC Champ Tulane
If those things happen, Texas could get left out and the ACC and SEC would each get 3 teams.
