2024 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

tOSU is using the huddle. I think they started using this when the OL was making mental errors and false starts. The huddle allows the OL to focus. No sacks less penalties it’s working . I thought we needed the opposite but I was wrong. Value each play don’t worry about how many plays. Is this way Kelly or Day don’t care it’s effective.
First, it's not just huddling. A LOT of teams are huddling this year. It's a natural offshoot of helmet communications. Ohio State is second only to Army in fewest overall plays per game; there are a lot of teams below Ohio State that huddle, yet run a lot more plays.

Granted, huddling is part of it, but just a part. And to the extent that it has been a part of it, it has been a part of it from the beginning. Ohio State huddled after the second play of the year, the drop by JJ that would have been a score; and that was when they were still running off of the script. They've been huddling (mostly) literally all year. Day said they would huddle a lot before the year ever started.

Total chaos is actually not that far fetched

You could have Tennessee lose to Vandy and then Texas beat A&M then beat UGA in the SEC title game. Then you have just ONE SEC team with <3 losses.

Could the ACC get fucking 3 teams at that point? With SMU Miami & Clemson.

1 3 loss SEC would still have to get in more than likely in that scenario, it would be hilarious watching the fight over which one it should be.
Or you could have aggy beat UGA and have zero teams with less than three losses. Wait tejas would only have two but will not have made their CCG.

Here is hoping Clemson beats SC and knocks Indiana out as an at-large.

Although if Miami loses to Syracuse, Clemson goes into ACC championship and Miami should fall below Indiana.

IU is a total fraud but so is Cryami.

What exactly has Clemson done? They got blown out completely by UGA and lost AT HOME by 2 scores to Louisville. Their best win is a miracle win over a stumbling now 4 loss Pitt team. If Indiana is a fraud so are they

Bama having 3 losses and being right there to jump right back in if things fall right is incredibly annoying. That’s how mediocre most of the teams are this year though. I fully expect them to back in luck seems to always go their way when it comes to getting in when they shouldn’t
Getting blown out by 5-5 team should be disqualifying especially sincve the 5-5 team had one win in conference but nope cause bama

Yeah, expect 2 out of 3 among Notre Dame, Miami, and Clemson to get beat this week to get Bama back to #11.

That and one of the other of their 3 losses is to Vanderbilt who will finish with at least 5 losses as well.

If the 3 losses were to UGA Tennessee and like a Texas A&M I could maybe see the argument considering teams keep dropping like flies but that’s not the case.

Same applies to Ole Miss, their 2/3 losses to crap unranked teams should disqualify them as well.
