2024 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

you know exactly how this ends…..Day gets the dream path beating ASU/BSU and upsets Oregon on a neutral field to the final, only to then spit the bit vs the GA/Texas/Notre Dame

He is what he is.

From here out we are probably going to temper expectations somewhere around Quarter/Semi's as the season ending dong punch (of course there will be plenty of bad luck involved).

Hell, that would be a successful playoffs* at this point.

*Emphasis on successful “playoffs” NOT successful “seaon” because of 11/30/2024.

Boise, ASU and SMU are all playing very losable games (biggest spread is Boise -4)

PSU and UGA are dogs and would both likely fall behind OSU if they did.

I wouldn't count out Miami or Ole Miss just yet. Regardless, let's hope for some chaos.

I’d normally be for chaos but this year it’s only gonna benefit very undeserving SEC teams so nah. I’d rather not see Ole Miss limp in backwards along with Bama. I’m all for UNLV beating Boise though.

Penn State will get beat by 2 TDs against Oregon and drop behind Ohio State.

Ohio State will be 7 and Indiana will be 10

Indiana will win by 2 TDs on the road at Ohio State.

Which will make the Day firing that much easier.

They’d seed manipulate at that point to avoid the rematch.

They would have at least 3 losses if the ACC refs weren’t 12 man for them all year. It just sucks that a 3 loss Bama is the one benefiting from Miami comically getting left out. Bama doesn’t deserve it either, but they gotta field 12 teams.

They're going to manipulate the seeds in one of two ways.....and it can't be both. Either they protect Southern teams from having to go North, or they protect Southern teams from having to play each other. I don't think the OSU/Indiana rematch moves their needle.

South Carolina deserves it over Bama. losing by 21 to a 5-5 team that couldn't functionally thow the ball for your 3rd loss should rank you far back in the 3 loss teams not at the head of the table
