2024 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

They're going to manipulate the seeds in one of two ways.....and it can't be both. Either they protect Southern teams from having to go North, or they protect Southern teams from having to play each other. I don't think the OSU/Indiana rematch moves their needle.

Let’s see how that “teams who don’t play won’t be dropping” claim holds up.

3 losses should be automatic disqualifier unless there are only a couple teams with 2 losses above them

Bama being ahead of Cryami is hilarious but it’s a joke. They are basically ignoring Bamas 3rd loss. Bamas losses to Vandy and Oklahoma are worse than Cryamis losses to Ga Tech and Cuse (who’s at least ranked now) and they have a extra L on top of those. If Bama had 3 losses to all ranked teams I could maybe see it but that’s not the case

I agree that they would avoid OSU / Indiana just because in the eyes of the nation it's a boring game. It's already happened and in the same venue no less. It's a danger game for Day though that even a blow out win will prove nothing.

I personally think they will maximize cross-conference pairings. If all the games look to be relative "duds" in their first pairing, they will definitely manipulate to get at least one juicy matchup - Alabama at OSU; Penn State / Georgia; Alabama at ND

Bama has some higher quality wins though. Cryami's schedule was pathetic this year and they baaaaarely squeaked by some trash teams. With that said, fuck 'em both

Losses have to matter at some point. When you have 3 losses and 2 are to unranked bums like Bama you have no business jumping ahead of a 2 loss team for a final spot.

This is what we get with a 12 team playoff lol arguing which equally underserving team belongs in

you know exactly how this ends…..Day gets the dream path beating ASU/BSU and upsets Oregon on a neutral field to the final, only to then spit the bit vs the GA/Texas/Notre Dame
Day leaves at halftime, and Urban Meyer walks down from the booth and calls 37 QB runs, jet sweeps and deep shots in play action to come from behind to win

I feel like us getting the “dream path” would turn into a nightmare and we’d lose to Arizona State

Penn State will get beat by 2 TDs against Oregon and drop behind Ohio State.

Ohio State will be 7 and Indiana will be 10

Indiana will win by 2 TDs on the road at Ohio State.

Which will make the Day firing that much easier.
Honestly I don’t think they want that rematch. However, if that happens that’d be terrible and I agree that’s a tough ass out.

After how we wrecked them and all the shit talking? Damn that’d be a terrible matchup for us.
