We need to lean on that strength vs ttun.

We are going to need to stack the box and trust our corners to make plays this time.

Crazy enough I think the 2022 game plan can work this year (minus the run busts) because we actually have the secondary to man people up for once.
The PSU game will be our first chance to get it right. Their WRs should not be good enough to beat us 1v1

One somewhat minor bitch I have after rewatching the game is Hicks not getting more snaps...it was halfway through the 4th about and Chambers is still in. Not only are we a couple of plays away from needing him this season, we are definitely going to need him next year. All that aside from his talent and earning playing time.

I think that was because Simon started and got most of the reps for Chambers last week. I do agree on the Hicks point though and mentioned it in his thread. We've got 4 legit LBs that can play and we should be getting them some rest from time to time so they are still 100% by The Game.

Amen on the bolded. We are going to need Hicks this season, Simon as well (already noted in the last few games). Eich and Chambers are the dudes, but Simon and Hicks are really important. Really need them all to play, although the next game just play who we need to win...which imo is Eich and Simon, with Chambers filtering in strategically. Would love to see Hicks play some.

I think what we're seeing is that Chambers has topped out. He had a helluva a year last season, but is still a converted running back. Hicks is younger and has a much higher ceiling. We need to be looking at next year as well as the games in front of us. If Hicks can't handle it, that's one thing, but if he's got the system down and has the athletic ability and all he's missing is game reps, why have him learn on the job next year? You can only take so many mental reps at LB.

Very fun group to watch today. Felt like there was a steady but limited rotation of bodies along the front 7 too. Coaches must be getting more confident in some of the backups and those guys are making the most of their chances. And the backfield really stepped up in Burkes absence, they were lights out. Silver Bullets, baby!!!
